@timesofindia there is something wrong with your e-paper. You seem to be publishing negatives of photographs.

@hdfcsec Why can't you simply send RM details on email? You instead tell us to install an app to find out who our RM is!! And you claim that this is simple! That is a joke.

@ShamitaShetty @IndiGo6E You are cursing one specific airline. But others are no better. Mediocrity and lack of professionalism is spreading far and wide. Grin and bear it 😔

It was such a great pleasure to call on honourable union minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas , shri Hardeep Singh Puri ji. I am humbled with his simplicity, grace , love and affection. An officer of Indian Foreign Service of 1974 batch, he is super senior to me (IPS 1986). I felt as though I met my elder brother.

नभ उतरु आलं - a line from a Marathi poem. Rough translation: the heavens have descended! An eerie scene on the Eastside from my home in Pune, India today. Monsoon Major has arrived, and how!

I love this Hindenburg fiction series. Every conspiracy theory makes the market nosedive, and I get to buy good stuff. The market recovers, and I smile (not quite laugh) all the way to the bank 😎 Doesn't matter who the fiction stars. The market acts the same 😃

Why has @hdfcsec HDFC Securities started selling health insurance? I have enough and more spam already, and I don't want this weird cross-selling. You will lose your broking customers if you don't stop.

@MSF @MSF_USA will continue to lose willing donors like me by failing to honour your promise of contacting only by email and not by phone. I have written communication from your India and global HQ to this effect. Still, I keep getting calls. I got one today. Sad.

When India plays Pakistan in cricket, the universe conspires to make absolutely anything possible. Such as a two-day international. What say? MHTMH 🤭 Let's hope hard the second day doesn't get washed out too!

@HDFC_Bank This is on your online portal today. I wish you could get at least the name of the corporation right! Your portal can do with a lot of QC. Glitches are getting increasingly frequent.

I thought the word 'chherchhar' in Hindi means something else, and didn't expect to hear, "Viman ke suraksha upakaran ke saath chherchhar karna sakt mana hai."

@statdebjit 😃 I can totally relate to that! But I jope your Prof realizes now, looking back even on your age cohort, that IIMs produced many people making valuable global contribution to mankind, not just to business bottomlines and to "shaban bikri"

Recently someone from my age cohort was telling me, when she graduated from Presidency (Kolkata) and decided to join IIMA instead of M.Sc., her Prof. said, “Sheki! Shaban bikri korbey?” That kind of attitude was common during that time…hope it's changed now.

@GabbbarSingh you could at least spell "seized" correctly? Or do you allege that there is no grammar freedom either?

Delhi is unbelievable! I had to head out for a meeting, the only time one has to wear formals, so I rummaged through my wardrobe to find my fav black trouser. Found it a bit crumpled, Sigh. Next step was to look for the steam iron to iron out the creases. The moment I plugged it in, I hear a police siren. Within the next 10 mins the appliance was ceased. No press freedom in India 😟

@Anirbban @Akshat_World Where did you read an excuse in what he said? You are welcome to have your opinion, and may have a valid point. But what he was suggesting is an interesting idea, and what will help is a constructive debate, rather than a dismissive swatting.

Never heard such lame excuses 🤦🏻‍♂️ What about if I need to add something additionally as income or expenses. There can be “n” number of things. For ex: a stock trader PNL is not 100% actual reflection. There are many things like physical settlement, auction trade, additional interest charge needs to be manually added. Does influences think, govt is such fool or their income is such straight forward?

Sometimes I wonder: if Aadhar, Pan Card, Bank accounts are linked, then why is it that we need to manually file taxes? Why can't the IT department build a system to automate taxation? Would save at least a few 100 hours for everyone running a business.

How a simple intervention can save lives: This morning I was rushing to the hospital to take care of a patient who had a heart attack. I had to honk, shout and swear my way to the hospital to try and save the patient. A lot of people glared at me. Some must have used cuss words. You all have seen how the traffic of an entire city is stopped to transport a donor heart to a transplant recipient. The scenes evoke so much of empathy and awe because a large number of people suffer in silence to save a single patient needing a heart transplant. Kudos. But this practice is mired in hypocrisy. Everyday, across India, hundreds of patients have heart attacks. Some of them reach the hospital early to be eligible to get a primary angioplasty procedure. That procedure needs cardiologists reach the Hopsital quickly. The only person that can save these patients is the interventional cardiologist. Yet he is supposed to follow all the traffic principles. If he can reach the hopsital a few minutes early, that can mean survival for the patient in heart attack. Primary angioplasty has a better survival rate than a heart transplant. The patients recovered after primary angioplasty live almost normally and are productive for the society. It makes sense if the government gives doctors a special privilege while navigating traffic trying to reach patients in emergency. It need not be a green corridor. Who should be given this privilege, how it has to be communicated to the public, for what medical conditions this should be given and how to prevent a misuse can all be worked out. Meanwhile, while I try to stick to the rules and blast my way across the city while going for an emergency, the expletives thrown at me are my blessings. Bring them on. The person on the cathlab table could be your relative, after all. #EmergencyResponse #SavingLives #InterventionalCardiology #TrafficRulesVsPublicHealth #SpecialPrivilegesForDoctors #PrimaryAngioplasty #PatientCare #PublicSafety @DrDeepakKrishn1 @serioustaurean @drandrewsharp @mmamas1973 @GopalKkoduru

Met an investor yesterday who had purchased a stock at Rs. 15 in 2017 and has been holding it since then. The price is ~1500 now. He invested 7.5 L which has become 7.5 Cr now. That’s power of long term investing. Investing creates generational wealth ! #StockmarketIndia

@timesofindia your newly introduced comic strip adam@home is quite a pain. Why did you remove Dilbert? It's not as if I'm stuck to Dilbert. A change is okay. But *this* change is pretty tasteless. I can't find either humour or wit in it. Avoid!

#cred alerts are getting funnier and more nuisance than help. It catches a small transaction and its reversal as a suspicious repeat transaction. And to carry the fun further, I get a duplicate alert 😃 Perhaps they should use #ChatGPT ?
