Don’t do it. Don't lower your standards because of other’s behavior. Some days you may not live up to your own standards. That's okay. Forgive yourself and do better tomorrow. But a career in medicine can be brutal, and one brutal truth is this:

@rbarbosa91 One of my attendings used to always say: “the difference between you and me is that I have better eyes than you”. Never understood what that meant until further in residency when trying to explain to junior residents where to start the dissection.

Lots of talk about cholecystectomy, suggesting that anyone could be trained to do it, which I disagree with. I have many Barbosa-isms, and among them is that one of the main things separating me from a junior trainee is simply that I know exactly how hard I can pull on tissues.
