January Silangi Mugaye, Superintendent of Works at Kanungu District, is on the run, fearing arrest after the newly constructed Kankoko Bridge, worth 40 million Uganda shillings, collapsed weeks after it was commissioned. It is alleged that the work on the bridge was shoddy.
