Four years after speed humps first arrived in Somerville, officials say they’ve learned a lot about how — and how not — to install the traffic calming measures, as they continue to implement more of them. trib.al/CsfdBVO

One of my favorite little peeks into a city's priorities is to check out what earmarks they get their state reps to insert into bills. Melrose's requests in the House transportation package: $210k for traffic signal upgrades, and $500k for an electric trash truck.

July is here which means the first-ever Safe Streets Sunday is just a few weeks away. Select roads will be closed to vehicle traffic to make space for more walking and rolling. Enjoy Lake Q safely! Other activities to be announced soon. July 17 12pm to 4pm. Save the date!

What's the street in your city that most needs a protected bike lane?

Thank you @KateforRep and @SenJasonLewis. The @MBTA plan is a disgrace that will have real and negative consequences for residents and the climate. It is time to stop making excuses and fix this problem.
