By that logic, if JudgeMe failed at something, every company after it fails too? Meta already owns top ecom marketing channels. Copy the tech, undercut price, add a marketing incentive. Doesn’t need to be better — good enough + cheaper acquisition. Not saying they’ll do it for sure. But ‘LMAO they can’t’ sounds like bias unless you can name the USP Shopify has that Meta can never touch.

finally got it back. thanks @Shopify
Akash@akjutsu

@liam_at_shopify Already did that hours ago. I lost a genuine review left by a Plus store, and support's reply makes me doubt I'll get a real answer on why it was removed — let alone restored.

@matthewsmith how can install & review signals be a valid thing if shopify himself is not able to identify which install/reviews are fake or not.

I think many of the Shopify App Store's challenges (specifically copycat apps and manipulated reviews) share the same root cause: developers have few ways to establish credibility beyond reviews. That's why I'm proposing the Developer Badge: a set of verified signals that can't be faked. It rewards developers who create lasting value on the platform. It discourages copy cats. And, it gives merchants another way to identify trusted apps.

Shopify can’t track this directly anyway — and FRT is the wrong metric here. Resolution time is what matters. As a customer, I’m fine with an AI chatbot if it solves my problem or hands me to a human fast. What I hate is a human who barely knows the product, makes me wait, and bounces me around for days. Fast first reply, terrible outcome — FRT tells you nothing.

@matthewsmith I like this. I’d add an avg frt support metric. As a company that invests in amazing support for merchants. I’d want that highlighted (it’s sub 1 min, 24/7) real humans

We removed one word from a client's app name. Install rate went from 15% to 34%. The word was "AI".

Hi Shopify App Devs - getting a lot of DMs this morning on your feedback from recent review removals. For appeals, you can contact direct Shopify support with a list of reviews you want to appeal and we will review them.

@denniscessan Yeah, I also lost 1 from a Plus store. It’s already hard enough getting reviews from Plus stores as a new app

🚨🍿 Review purge action 🍿🚨 Question, what happens if you ask them to leave a new review? I mean I got three reviews pulled of active Plus brands selling A LOT through Checkout Links still 🤷🏽‍♂️

@DaveDiederen Want to run one more experiment? It could directly increase profits while keeping the conversion rate the same — and the bigger the brand, the bigger the profit impact.

Tested adding a simple “Ships by Tomorrow” callout directly underneath the checkout CTA in the cart drawer, and it worked. At the point someone reaches the cart, they’ve already decided they like the product. The remaining friction is usually around everything that happens after they click checkout. “When will it arrive?” “Is shipping going to take forever?” “Should I just order this somewhere else?” A clear delivery promise answers one of those final objections immediately. And the placement matters. Putting “Ships by Tomorrow” directly underneath the CTA means the reassurance appears at the exact moment someone is deciding whether to continue. They don’t have to search through a shipping policy, FAQ, or product page to understand how quickly their order will move. It also makes the purchase feel more immediate. The customer isn’t just buying something that will eventually arrive, they’re buying something that is already about to be on its way. Such a tiny piece of copy, but a great example of how reducing uncertainty at the bottom of the funnel can have a surprisingly big impact on performance.

@codyplof It’s not just losing tests — even the winning ones have a losing side. I built an app around exactly this. Yet to meet a marketer who likes it, or a founder who hates it 😂

How come every CRO agency claims how much extra money they’re making clients from winning tests but never mentions how much money they’ve lost clients from their losing tests?

@its_me_ajp Dude. I *guarantee* you resubscribe before that current subscription expires at the end of December. And when you do, someone at Sony customer account services will laugh their ass off and crack open a beer. Gonna be a whole load of beers drank between now and then, I reckon.
