@kayode_william @lankykohler The last and current administrations were and are the worst. Mimiko's impact wouldn't have been felt if Agagu had been worse and Adefarati as well.

@akomosule @lankykohler Well, that is your opinion. It is good. And I respect it. However, I have experienced governance under all these governors. And, for me. It is only Mimiko that stands out. The rest, including the one there now, performed/performing below average.

@kayode_william @lankykohler I beg to differ. Ondo State has had governors who built on each predecessor's projects: Adefarati, Agagu, and then Mimiko. The retrogression began when Akeredolu took over power, and it has been a downhill journey since then.

@lankykohler Since the 4th Republic began, Ondo State has not had a governor who performed in office, except Olusegun Mimiko.

I saw a tweet saying the APC needs to be rooted out and state capture by politicians stopped, and I found myself laughing, not because the issues are funny, but because we still do not fully grasp how deep the problem runs. If we trace our political journey from 1999, or even more clearly from 2003 when the PDP firmly held power, what exactly changed between then and 2015 beyond the names on the ballot. The same political actors, the same networks, the same structures have simply rotated positions. Today, we see familiar faces reappearing under new banners, and the cycle continues. When I looked at the composition of the ADC and saw the usual cast of characters, it reinforced a difficult truth that we are still recycling the same political class while expecting fundamentally different outcomes. The challenge facing Nigeria is far more complex than the success or failure of any one party or any one president. No single leader can transform a country where dysfunction has become embedded in everyday systems and behaviours. Real change requires a collective shift in values and standards across society. It requires employers who understand that fair wages are not generosity but responsibility. It requires HR professionals who protect dignity rather than weaponize process. It requires neighbours who respect shared spaces and live in peace with one another. It requires local government leaders who genuinely serve the people rather than exploit proximity to power. It requires a police force that stands consistently on the side of justice rather than convenience. Until we confront the fact that national transformation must happen simultaneously at institutional, cultural, and individual levels, we will keep repeating the same pattern. We will remove one group of politicians only to replace them with another group shaped by the same incentives, the same pressures, and the same permissive environment. The country we hope to see cannot be built solely at the ballot box. It must also be built in offices, in homes, in communities, and in everyday decisions. Without that broader shift, political change alone will continue to feel like motion without progress.

The moment you feel you have to win someone over, you’ve already lost yourself. Love is not an audition. The right person will see you without the performance.

The way I’ve been thinking over the past few months isn’t healthy😔 If this crosses your timeline, PLEASE REPOST🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. You could change my life. My UK visa expires May 1st and I’m actively searching for a visa sponsored job before then. I’m a Technical/Application support analyst. I’m skilled at incident & problem management, SQL & database querying, SLA management & ticketing, API & integration support. I’m adaptable and ready to hit the ground running from day one. I’m ready to relocate to any city in the Uk. I’ll really appreciate every retweet, tag, comment. God bless🙏🏽

From the conversations on the TL, it is becoming apparent why Asian immigrants in the UK are more likely to become wealthier households that transfer wealth to their children, than those from Africa.
Lawrence@EkunweL

Being an "Odogwu" in the UK feels more like an oxymoron. Except you are a wealthy Canary Wharf banker with one property in Chelsea and another in Mallorca, please try not to engage in activities that will lead to your early and unfortunate demise.
