@sexybread_png i also did this to keep my real identity off the internet and while that feels awesome i do think *what* the name is can have an effect. i don't wanna be too prescriptive but i do worry that maybe the "sexy" part of your username doesn't seem "serious" enough.

@sexybread_png hello! i haven't worked in film but as a professional graphic designer my dumb made up name is on my portfolio and so far it hasn't been a serious issue, i just make sure my legal name is on the resumes i submit and that seems to be enough of a reassurance that i am Real.

take it from someone with less followers than you who has been on this platform 7 years longer, the answers you seek will feed soulless algorithms, corporate interests, and an audience that is not invested in your creative growth. which will make the number go up but at what cost

"big artists" will answer your question on how to grow your audience in this way because the question you are asking comes from a place that will only make you unhappy. no one knows that better than a person who has followers and still has to find fulfillment in their work after.
