Despite having massive talent, India still moves slow. The problem is not what you think. The real bottleneck is this: India has too many Indias. It has a communication problem. No single language connects all of India. Pick any leader. Put him in New Delhi. Give him the mic. At best, he can directly connect with 30-35% of the country (Hindi). Any other language is less than 10%. The rest are listening through translation, filters, or not listening at all. That breaks everything. Because communication is not just words. It’s trust. It’s relatability. It’s emotional connection. If someone doesn’t speak your language, you don’t fully accept them. Simple. (That’s why you see Hindi speakers struggle to win in the South, and vice versa) This is not politics. This is psychology. We like people who sound like us. Now scale this problem to 1.5 billion people. Every policy, every vision, every reform gets diluted, delayed, or negotiated to death. This leads to coalition and compromise - Slow execution. Everyone needs to be convinced. No one can just decide and move. And when you keep negotiating, you stop building fast. Now compare that with a country where one language dominates. For example China - One dominant language. Mandarin. If The head of state speaks from Shanghai, and 1.4 billion people hear the same message instantly. That’s scale. One tone. One message. One narrative. One direction. Execution becomes faster. Alignment becomes easier. You don’t waste years convincing people. You move. India can’t do that! Not because we lack talent. But because we can’t align that talent at speed. And here’s the uncomfortable truth - Our biggest strength is also our biggest weakness. “Diversity” We celebrate it. We should. But diversity without a common communication layer creates friction. And friction kills speed. You can have the smartest people in the world. But if they can’t understand each other fast enough. you don’t get progress - you get delay. India won’t lose on talent. It will lose on its inability to act as one.

Tamil Nadu is considered one of the best states mainly because… I feel both DMK and ADMK had almost the same core ideology… There is corruption...no denying that…but they stood strongly on social justice and kept the state largely from communal tensions. Both competed in making the state developed… and that competition is what actually worked. Now I feel that hope has reduced from ADMK… especially with alliances that don't match its own ideology… All eyes are on DMK now… Other options still need to grow up more to handle a big bully.

Why should kids learn 3rd language mandatorily, instead they can pick behavioural science/programming language!
