@tobi @ShopifySupport We’re now seeing that this issue is widespread I’ve received confirmations from multiple shops experiencing the same pattern, at different levels depending on their product count.
On our side, we went from 0 China traffic to the levels shown in the screenshot

But Live View remains fully affected, and there’s currently no way for me to exclude this traffic there

🇨🇦 As a Shopify merchant, it doesn’t feel normal that I need a 3rd-party app to block massive bot traffic from China — giving that app full access to my traffic, IPs and logs. This should be native Shopify protection. Security is not an option.

Allow merchants to soft-exclude regions in Analytics:
• Applies to Live Stats + default Reports
• Data still collected in background
• Team sees clean, consistent metrics
Benefits: faster workflow, cleaner data, no need to rebuild every report

The new bot/human filter unfortunately doesn’t fix the issue on my side. Live Stats remain affected, and in Shopify Reports I must manually exclude China in every default report. My team sees distorted data.
