I returned from Beijing earlier this week, where @Pfizer has been on the ground for 36 years. I heard from our team there about how they're using AI to fundamentally rethink how we develop and deliver medicines, not just incremental improvements but a different way of working entirely. Globally, we intend to be the most AI-forward company in biopharma. This will take the best minds, in every market we serve, working together. That is how breakthroughs happen.

Today, we dosed the first participant in VESPER-5, our second Phase 3 obesity study in just a few months. At least ten pivotal studies are planned for our lead investigational treatment this year, with more than 20 across our ambitious pipeline. We said we'd move fast after acquiring Metsera. We meant it.

These results give us great confidence in our investigational Lyme disease vaccine candidate with @ValnevaSE. Lyme is a pressing unmet need in infectious disease, affecting hundreds of thousands of people and their families every year with no approved prevention option available. on.pfizer.com/41lTvfU

With results from two clinical studies, this has been a strong week for oncology at @Pfizer, and a strong signal for what lies ahead. In breast cancer, we are developing a potential first-in-class, next-generation investigational therapy for people whose cancer has stopped responding to standard-of-care treatment: on.pfizer.com/3NN1QpR In prostate cancer, we showed that an investigational combination demonstrated the potential to help earlier in the disease, when treatment has the greatest chance to make a difference: on.pfizer.com/4rK69Ar I think about the people behind these numbers. A woman whose breast cancer stopped responding to treatment, a man facing a diagnosis that too often progresses quickly. They deserve better options, and our teams are working tirelessly to bring them to the people who need them. We said that 2026 would be a catalyst-rich year for us. With more than 20 pivotal studies planned across oncology and other therapeutic areas, and additional readouts ahead, we are delivering on that promise. Proud of our teams and grateful to the investigators who make this work possible.

I cannot think of a stronger person to take on this challenge. Too many families face this horrible disease, and 1 in 3 Americans will be diagnosed in their lifetime. Myself and the entire oncology team at Pfizer are in this fight to win - because we must. @SusieWiles, we stand with you now and with every patient on this journey. We are rooting for you.

Great interview with my colleague Chris Boshoff in @Nature on R&D at Pfizer. With 102 clinical-stage candidates and ~20 pivotal study starts planned this year across our four therapeutic areas, I believe our focused strategy is delivering. on.pfizer.com/4bp5LRu

Last year reinforced what I believe sets @Pfizer apart: the courage to make bold moves, the expertise to solve problems others can't and the speed to match our ambition. From obesity and oncology to how AI is transforming the way we discover and deliver breakthrough treatments, this was a year of real progress. Our Annual Review captures all of it: annualreview.pfizer.com Thank you to my colleagues around the world for delivering on our purpose once again.

Colorectal cancer in people under 50 is rising fast. Same for other cancer types, but so is the science fighting it. The new season of our podcast Science Will Win covers all of this, plus AI, precision medicine, and some extraordinary patient stories. I recommend for anyone in healthcare, science or affected by this disease: on.pfizer.com/4ddblZK

Great news from our team to start the week: positive Phase 2 results for a potential first-in-class medicine discovered and developed entirely in-house at @Pfizer. It has the potential to work differently from anything available today, targeting three drivers of inflammation in a single treatment. This could make a real difference for millions of people living with conditions like atopic dermatitis, COPD, and asthma. We're accelerating toward Phase 3 and excited about what lies ahead. This is the kind of innovation our pipeline is built to deliver. More: on.pfizer.com/4s0yTpu

You don't win a race by blocking the person behind you. You win by being the fastest. A decade ago, China accounted for less than 6% of global drug development. Today, it's nearly 30%. That's not a reason for fear. It's a reason to compete harder. Great conversation with @DrOzCMS at the @PhRMA Forum on sharpening America's edge in biopharma.

Developing breakthrough treatments is what we do. Making sure patients can access them is part of how those breakthroughs change lives. Today, @Pfizer announced a new discount program through TrumpRx, the administration's new direct-to-patient site, which aims to lower out-of-pocket costs. Americans can now access discounts of up to 85% on list prices for more than 30 Pfizer medicines spanning women's health, migraine, arthritis, rare disease, and more. These conditions affect more than 100 million Americans. This is a major and exciting step toward making medicines more affordable for more Americans. Thank you to @realDonaldTrump and the @WhiteHouse for working together to get this done. More: on.pfizer.com/4qvtaqc

We just shared our Q4 and full-year results, and I couldn't be more proud of what we delivered. But I'm even more optimistic about what's ahead. This is @Pfizer at our best.

Great conversation with @ajs. We're in the fight to beat cancer and I believe we can win. Our pipeline is built to change millions of lives, and I'm proud to be in this with my @Pfizer colleagues.

My new episode of @FortuneMagazine Titans and Disruptors is out with @pfizer CEO @AlbertBourla. I learned so much. Some of the highlights: - How he made a deal with Trump in 10 days to lower American drug prices (and why they ever cost more) - How he won a crazy $10bn bidding war for Metsera against rival Novo Nordisk - leading after achieving mass success is very hard. How to reenergize yourself and your team - the future of drugs and medicine is going to be awesome. Curing cancer or at least making it a chronic illness is in sight. - reflections on COVID and why we are less prepared for the next pandemic - A great quote: “the winners in life are not differentiated from the losers in life because the winners never fall. They are differentiated because the winners always stand up again.” Enjoy! youtu.be/YxC9uL1ehUI?si…

Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day and yesterday, after 843 days, the remains of the last hostage finally came home from Gaza. So this is a time to honor those we have lost, then and now. Graciela Bourla, my father's little sister, was 17 years old when she was taken to Auschwitz-Birkenau never to be seen again. @ADL data shows hate crimes against Jews in America are at the highest level on record, and we are not the only community facing fear and prejudice. When any group is dehumanized, when any community is targeted, all of us are diminished. The lesson of the Holocaust is not only for Jews. It belongs to everyone, and it must always be remembered. It's my hope that we can find the courage and compassion to ensure it is never repeated. May the memory of those we have lost be a blessing.
