@kognise7 @the_lettuce_cat Add some cream and raspberries and you have a Cranachan
English

@the_lettuce_cat yes, assuming you give it enough time, but practically most recipes don't do that :P
and i'm adding bourbon to oatmeal because bourbon and spices is FUCKING DELICIOUS

@mlodygee @TheAppleDesign You can set up a shortcut to turn airplane mode back off after a few minutes when airplane mode is turned on
English

@TheAppleDesign probably the person who stole it will turn on airplane mode first
English

Most people still have no idea how insanely powerful the Shortcuts app actually is
For example here’s an “anti theft shortcut” that turns on low power mode.. takes a front camera photo and sends that photo along with live location to your chosen number.. ALL JUST BY SENDING A MESSAGE FROM ANY OTHER PHONE

For it to not become loss-making the expected value of a lottery ticket (probability of winning x prize money) would have to be less than the fare. You'd be relying on people being irrational enough to buy the ticket instead of just jumping the barrier and riding for free
Iain Mansfield@IGMansfield
TfL loses £190m a year in fare evasion. A lottery - with monthly prizes of up to £50,000 and 432 winners a year - for those who tap in could help turn the tide. Alongside, of course, stricter enforcement. edrith.co.uk/p/how-to-reduc…

I'm making a Tycoon game where you build lots and lots of parking lots!
In this satirical simulator, your goal is to convert walkable cities into parking lots and use propaganda to convince everyone it's what they want.
You can wishlist the game here:

I just realized the russia-ukraine horseshoe is just the inverse of the palestine-isreal horseshoe politically
1. you have the russia-palestine supporters on the extreme left, they are soviet sympathizers and love guerilla-style resistance
2. then you've got the ukraine-palestine camp which is your classic liberal left, they mostly care about oppression and the optics around it
3. then you have the ukraine-israel camp, they are centrists and mostly care about democracy and western civilisation triumphing
4. then there's the russia-israel camp, this is the new right movement and most of the trumpists
5. at the end you have the russia-palestine camp, they hate western civilization because of wokeness or whatever, and they dislike jews so by process of elimination palestine is left
always fun to analyze when political camps start overlapping

Don’t want your mosque demolished? Don’t run terrorists operations out of it. Same goes for schools and hospitals. Simple.
Keith Woods@KeithWoodsYT
While Palestinian fighters were given strict orders to respect churches and monasteries, Israel responded to the attacks by bombing a Mosque in Gaza.

Fairly convinced the value add from grammar and private schools isn’t that the kids are brighter - but instead that the 5% most disruptive children aren’t there.
Take away exclusions and you grow the gap between selective and comp.
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan@MayorofLondon
Evidence shows children excluded from school are at higher risk of being affected by violence. I’m pleased to announce @LDN_VRU has brought in educational expert Maureen McKenna—responsible for a 90% fall in Glasgow school exclusions—to help support its work on Inclusion.
