Sat next to a 27 year old on a flight from Miami to New York last month. $180k in a Robinhood account. He noticed I was looking at a trade on my phone and asked what I did. I told him I sell options for income. He said "oh I have stocks, I just hold them." I asked what his account paid him last month. He laughed. Said "nothing, that's not how it works." I told him it could. Take $100k of that $180k and set up an automated iron condor system on SPX. Sell monthly. Collect premium regardless of direction. 2% monthly = $2,000/month. $24k/year. Cash. In your account. Not locked in appreciation you can't touch until you sell. The other $80k stays in his stocks. Fine. Let it grow. But now the account has two jobs, not one. He spent the rest of the flight asking questions. Most people don't know their money can work like this. They were never taught it. But this is how the wealthy build their income.

🚨 HOLY CRAP! Nick Shirley FOLLOWED the California Speaker of the House and a Senator for pushing the Stop Nick Shirley Act, which CRIMINALIZES anti-fraud journalism They were stumbling, panicked, REFUSING to acknowledge that levying up to $50K fines for journalism is TYRANNY SHIRLEY: "Speaker Rivas...AB 2624? Is there a conflict of interest with Mia Bonta, and her husband being the ATTORNEY GENERAL?" RIVAS: "I don't know." *Runs into car* 🤯 SHIRLEY: "These people won't even answer the questions."

@Houseofyogi @alexanderlee1 Seems like a pattern... corrupt officials get power through the Democratic Party, fund "NGO"s with public money instead of actually fixing problems. The NGOs take their cut and funnel the money back to the elected officials via "donations" or "family business" contracts...

Karen Bass was a trojan horse sent to destroy LA Sold as a reformer. Shortlisted as Biden's VP. The media and the Democratic Party who installed her love to avoid her communist past. A Castro apologist. A Maoist cadre. In 2022 she was losing to Rick Caruso. A moderate who ran on cleaning up the city. Obama endorsed her. Biden endorsed her. Harris flew to LA twice. Clinton flew in. Sanders. Warren. Pelosi. Every major union. The entire machine lined up to stop the one guy who wanted to fix what she was about to break. She won by ~90,000 votes. Now the same machine hides her failures to protect their budding communist investment. She promised the world and delivered a trainwreck. The lady who said she wouldn't travel internationally. Flew to Ghana under wildfire warnings when the Palisades fire hit. Fire Chief Kristin Crowley warned her in detailed writing every year. She never listened. $17.6 million cut from the fire department. Engines cannibalized for parts. 1,300 hydrants reported broken four months before the fire. Nobody fixed them. The Santa Ynez Reservoir was EMPTY during fire season. 13,000 homes destroyed because of ZERO common sense. Hey maybe having water is important to fight fires...idk tho. Gross negligence that would put most people in jail for life. But politicians are above the law. When Crowley told CBS News Bass fired her. Twelve Angelenos died in the Palisades. Seventeen more in Altadena. Twenty-nine dead before she finished her champagne in Ghana. Then came the cover-up. The fire department ran a PR operation to protect Bass from "reputational harm." The official report was altered. Bass told the interim fire chief it could "expose the city to legal liabilities." Her texts from the fire vanished. A federal prosecutor had to step in and delay the city's own report. Crowley sued Bass for retaliation. Her lawsuit helped expose the memo and get the cover-up in writing and show the world. Karen Bass promised to end the homeless crisis. She built a money machine around it. $322 million in. $259,000 per person. Less than 1 in 4 stay housed. The CEO she picked gave $2 million in contracts to her own husband's employer. Keep it in the family baby. When the agency's IT chief refused to delete emails Bass sent from her PERSONAL account, they fired her. When a second executive raised complaints, they fired her too. $800,000 in hush money to buy their silence. Staff were told their job was to "make the mayor look good." Karen Bass promised to fight corruption. Funny way to show it when three of her handpicked contractors have been indicted in six months. $20.6 million in "behested payments" to her Mayor's Fund from corporations with city contracts. Outside California they call that extortion. The unions that put her in office got the pay raises. The nonprofits that fund her allies got the contracts. She takes their money. They take yours. But ya let's make sure we tax the rich... City Controller Kenneth Mejia's fraud unit is the reason Alexander Soofer got caught. The dude who stole $23 million of public homelessness money and spent it on himself. Bass cut Mejia's budget. Then her appointees voted 9-2 to ABOLISH Mejia's elected office entirely. Replace the watchdog by a person handpicked by Bass, because her track record shows we can DEFINITELY trust her. This is how dictators work. This is how cover-ups happen. They dismantle the democracy around them. She fires anyone who tells the truth. Deletes every document that would hurt her. Pays whistleblowers to stay quiet. Abolishes every office that could expose her. Where is the outrage? Where is CNN? Where is the New York Times? Where is Gavin Newsom? Ah I know. They are too busy fixated on Trump. Too busy banning Nick Shirley for video taping fraud. And they don't hold themselves accountable, only the other guys. Tell me again how the rich, Republicans and anyone that disagrees with you is corrupt. Tell me again how the media is unbiased and objective. Republicans got two impeachments over cover-ups that weren't real. Here you have one killing Angelenos in broad daylight and no one bats an eye. Karen Bass was never a reformer. She was trained to be something else. She joined the Venceremos Brigade in 1973 to work for the Castro regime. In the 1980s, she joined a Maoist organization. She eulogized Fidel Castro as "Comandante en Jefe" in 2016. Joe Biden almost put her in the Situation Room. She does not govern Los Angeles. She manages her reputation while the city burns. A communist dictator trained in Havana now runs the second-largest city in America. There is a way out. Spencer Pratt lost his home in the Palisades fire. He's running for mayor to burn the machine down. Steve Hilton is running for governor to end one-party rule in California. The June 2 primary is seven weeks away. Los Angeles has one chance to send her home. Fool me twice, shame on me. Don't be a moron expecting different results. Don't mess this up.

The Morgenthau Plan has almost been fully implemented: German de-industrialisation and replacement of the population. Now people don't even speak German anymore in Germany. Success!!! I hope everyone in Germany is happy about what they achieved.
John Loeber 🎢@johnloeber

Germany Is Going Away I've been going back to Germany often over the last three years. One thing stands out every time: nobody speaks fluent German anymore. I kept count on a trip earlier this year. I interacted with ~20 people -- baristas, taxi drivers, store clerks, etc. and I'd involve them in conversation long enough to get a feel for their fluency. ~15 of them just wouldn't pass what I'd consider a reasonable language test. Broken grammar, poor diction. All my interactions were friendly and polite, but these people just don't speak the language. In the most egregious cases, they default to English instead. I found it just baffling to talk to people in positions of relative importance -- airport staff, for example -- and hear them fuck up Der/Die/Das. Let me explain. I lived in Germany from 1997 through 2002, Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Nearly all my childhood memories involve only natively fluent speakers. Some of them had immigration backgrounds, but the level of integration, i.e. language fluency was very high. It would've been unthinkable to run into people several times a day who just struggle to communicate. This is the type of thing that's probably hard to notice if you live there: the proverbial frog in boiling water. But I notice it very clearly because I go back so rarely, sometimes years apart. Every time it hits like a ton of bricks: "that's not how I remember it!" And the changes over the ~2 decades that I've been gone are very, very clear. A generation of workers has aged out, i.e. been replaced by a new generation, and so the demographics have shifted. Nowhere is it clearer than in the ability of people in public life to communicate in the German language. What I cannot stress enough is how weird this feels. For the vast majority of my readers: you have never experienced anything like this. You probably never will. It is an exceedingly strange and alienating feeling to return to a familiar place -- home at one point in your life -- and to find that people there can't speak the language anymore. They literally can't. The culture you grew up with is no more, and you may look around for someone else who understands, but you are all alone.

Just in case you were wondering who the end users of $SIVE likely were: Sivers lasers -> $AMZN (Marvell's 8-K SEC filings). Amazon has purchase agreements for "photonic fabric" from Celestial, which maps to Sivers lasers through two-hop connections. Marvell's share value under the agreement was $87/share, so Amazon is very incentivized to buy as much as they can (Marvell is trading at $139+). These volume orders help $SIVE the most out of this supply chain, given their size. This is just one-relation to Amazon, I wanted to point out. But at $720m MC... Markets missed Sivers as the critical laser supplier for the upcoming hyperscaler optical supercycle based on new architectural changes.

@aleabitoreddit True. They fail to mention that $10,000 is quite a lot of money for average people to plunk down on a single stock, and then hold for 5 years, let alone 30.

It’s still funny that there’s so many: “If you invested $10K into ____ you would have ____ today!” Then they’re all the stocks I was the original thesis poster on from $AXTI to $IQE. Wait 6 months and you’ll probably see the same thing with $SIVE and my other bottleneck thesis posts.

The number of applicants for Japan’s Business Manager Visa after the stricter regulations have taken effect has dropped by 96% from a monthly average of 1,700 to just 70. The visa allows foreigners to live in Japan while starting or managing a business, but it is now far more restrictive, with the capital requirement raised from ¥5 to ¥30 million, new qualifications requiring at least three years of prior management experience or a master’s degree (or equivalent) in business management, a requirement to employ at least one full-time staff member, and a business plan that must be verified by a certified Small and Medium-sized Enterprise management consultant. Of the roughly 41,600 current holders of this visa, only about 4% meet the new ¥30 million capital requirement.
