Until very recently CDC didn’t reliably track and report maternal mortality Doing so laid racism bare, compelling clinicians/administrators/white people to begin acknowledging & addressing racism in medicine. CDC does not currently report/track police violence. Should they? 🤔

9. To clinicians, health advocates, administrators & white people reading this thread - know police violence is a population health inequity that is measurable and negatively affects ALL black Americans. See it, study it, prevent it and help end it. This is a clinical imperative.
