Ford in talks with Max Verstappen about WEC Hypercar opportunities Ford will make its Hypercar debut in the World Endurance Championship next year, and the company's racing chief Mark Rushbrook would love to see Max Verstappen race the car one day. Mark Rushbrook: "We love Max. We love what he does in the Formula 1 car, on the track. "We love him off the track. He's a great person, as much as he's a great driver. We love his passion to be racing GT3, like he is, and what he does with developing drivers through sim racing and getting them on the track. "So, of course, we have regular discussions with him about what are the opportunities to do more in sportscar, including Hypercar. Verstappen himself has also shown interest. "He’s a racer. He wants to race." "We’re not announcing anything," Rushbrook said with a smile. "He wants to go race Le Mans and race for the overall win, but most years the schedule doesn't allow it, right? While he's a committed Formula 1 driver, most years now it's a conflict." Many automotive manufacturers now are removing our traditional engine oil dipsticks in favor of electronic monitoring systems. As a veteran automotive technician, I know firsthand how important oil level is in engines and how important it is to be able to accurately check that. I also know how unreliable electronic sensors can be. I personally would not buy a car that does not have an oil dipstick so I can check my engine oil easily, conveniently and reliably. If an oil level sensor fails on one of these cars, then you have no way to manually check the engine oil. This is not acceptable to me.

🚨|| FIA: En la reunión regulatoria de hoy se han definido las medidas para 2027. La unidad de potencia cambiará a un esquema de 60/40 a favor del motor de combustión interna!
Se ha acordado un aumento nominal en la potencia del Motor de Combustión Interna (ICE) de aproximadamente 50 kW con un incremento en el flujo de combustible y una reducción nominal de la potencia de despliegue del Sistema de Recuperación de Energía (ERS) de aproximadamente 50 kW.
Esto significa que la división de la unidad de potencia ha cambiado a una proporción de 60/40 a favor del motor de combustión interna (ICE), habiendo estado coloquialmente en una división de 50/50 (más cercana a un 55/45 en realidad).
Las limitaciones de la división 50/50 han sido evidentes, y las discusiones sobre un cambio en la proporción nunca se hicieron con la vista puesta en 2026.

🇯🇵 | ¡¡ MAX VERSTAPPEN PROBANDO POR PRIMERA VEZ UN SUPER GT500 EN FUJI !! ⚔️ Pusieron a competir a Max con Atsushi Miyake, uno de los mejores pilotos de GT. ℹ️ El mejor tiempo de Miyake fue de 1:44.075. La primera vuelta de MV3 fue de 1.44:142, se quedó a 67 milésimas !!! 🤯 Max solamente necesito 2 vueltas para pulverizar el tiempo del japonés. Le saco 2 SEGUNDOS, haciendo un crono de 1:42.290.
