@closethedoor what tubeless tape do you use in your wheel builds? Need to replace some and stans tape isn’t doing it for me!
English

@Mrfrenzy60 There are a lot of styles! But I’m mostly here because I’m also e-cargo curious! I have been interested in the yuba spicy curry for a while now.
English

@JohnnyCRockets @stevenfcpa There’s currently still snow up there. Though that might change quickly this week.
English

@ccreuter @whiteryanc And MOST avalanches occurred in that sweeet spot 30-36. Few occurred (though rare) sub 30 and over 45. I can’t find the picture now but it was very interesting. I am not very worried about sub 30 terrain FWIW!
English

@ccreuter @whiteryanc I did! The information I got was different! I did not meant to worry you. Basically it’s mostly correct that they happen above 30 but there are chances of slides lower then that. We had a nice bar graph that showed the number of avalanches per year for each angle range 1/2
English

@ccreuter @whiteryanc Don’t want to be that guy, but technically <30 degree slopes could still slide, just less likely. Stay safe, enjoy some snow!

@gregonabicycle 😂😂 im at work now. I’ll check the basement when I get home unless you find a less sketchy site.
English

@gregonabicycle I probably have some in the basement … I’ll take a look. If I do I’ll mail you one.
English

@whiteryanc Yeah so for xc set up you’ll probably want sub 10degrees. I’d poke around on Strava and any 3D terrain mapping software you care. Caltopo is free online. There is almost no avalanche danger at that degree, dangers would be in any terrain that goes below an avalanche path.
English

@whiteryanc Most recently I took an avalanche course which really teaches you about forecasting and planning and I found it very helpful to figuring out what’s safe and what’s a no go. I still don’t feel Comftorable with planning between 30-45 degrees yet, but that comes with practice.
English

@whiteryanc The answer is almost certainly yes. When I plan a backcountry trip I use Strava heat maps and caltopo to check out slope angles. Generally less than 30 degrees is considered non-avalanche terrain. If you go even lower, around 25 you’ll be in a pretty safe sweet spot. 1/2.
