If you are following any of these accounts, I have muted and unfollowed (or will shortly). That's a pretty mild step given the harm you've chosen to support. I've scraped their followers, if I can get any sort of name/profile/email keyword match on a future order, it's a bit of a long shot, but I will, of course, cancel it. If you think asking you not to support a harmful, openly misogynistic smear campaign is unreasonable, kindly let me know so I can turn it into a block. @QueeringPsych @thecakelin @babybunloaf @_smoze @stalkmytweetsyo @Baked_Potahto @BillieNyelish @visionsinveils @madnomanattic

I love how USians love to support people who turn their firehose of lies on the vulnerable and then, when they've gotten the attention they want- and it's absolutely clear the entire thing was a lie, just change the subject and move on and lose absolutely none of that support for having made the whole thing up. 110 mutuals support this. I have zero pity for the US COVID-Aware community, the absolute scum of the earth.

guests should be able to rent hotel rooms in 10-hour blocks. Stay for 10, 20, 30 hours depending on your needs. Spreads out the burden of turnover and allows guests to actually enjoy amenities on a one-night stay.

Sadly, many of the climate solutions that governments, lobbyists, and enthusiasts have rallied behind are either climate disasters because they don’t properly account for land-use, or they fail to scale (meat alternatives). #climate #BookReview We Are Eating the Earth.

I've been consistently doing dumbbell curl Arnold-presses for several weeks specifically because I want to be able to lift my canoe easier. Having a hyper-specific goal works.

Cuba is experiencing nationwide blackouts, and clinicians have requested N95s. I will donate a dollar for every RT this gets in the next hour. MAKE ME PAY. James is organizing a fundraiser. Venmo: James-Ray-24

If anyone wants to help I spent a few hours talking to medical students in Havana today who work at a hospital who said they need N95s or equivalents desperately. I’ve already worked with someone to secure 5,000 masks but 40,000 supplies their entire hospital staff for a year.

@suchnerve I have to admit that for my next round of air purifiers I will be looking for style and function. A HEPA that is furniture feels like my next phase of living-with-this-forever, if you know of anything decent.

I think that in some cases, the better someones grasp of science, the stronger their need to reject aerosol transmission. Because if they accept that it's a dominant mode of transmission and really understand what that means, the implications are far-reaching and incredibly frightening. For the layperson, it's just "Oh, so like coughs but further yeah? Well I'll take extra vitamins LOL" and they get on with their life of episodic illness, possibly debilitating, but with (to them) unclear vectors. For someone with a good grasp of science, if they really understand what almost every respiratory infection having airborne potential means, than they understand that if true, almost all of the modern indoor spaces we have would be unsafe without massive IAQ upgrades- and in many cases those upgrades might not even be physically possible. If airborne transmission is dominant = Nearly all of our indoor physical infrastructure is dangerous and obsolete without costly upgrades. That is a massive, massive social, political, and financial upheaval to contemplate- and people able to see the big picture implications, rejecting it at a visceral level, when a comfortable, nostalgic paradigm of handwashing and coughing into their elbow is right there for them to cling to, is somewhat understandable. It will take a long time, and a great deal more work before many come around- and many never will. Semmelweis's findings were not accepted during his lifetime- and those were a comparatively minor upheaval.

One of the purposes of AI is to devalue the work that people do create. Just like fake news isn't there to convince you it's true, it's to make you suspicious and dismissive of everything.

Everything in your environment is trying to kill you and trying to heal your body through food will require an iron will and the absence of anyone to share meals with. You would also need to exercise daily, find more time for sleep, and do something about all that mental distress

Torch 2 is still coming. There was a flaw in the PCB which meant Lifepo4 batteries would only last four-five years instead of ten. It had to be fixed. We are the smallest Far-UVC company, yet we are doing the most R&D and bringing the most innovations to the public. The Torch 2 incorporates several of those innovations into one product, all of which have to work together on a very tight tooling budget. We took no pre-orders because we did not want to commit to a timeline that might interfere with delivering the best product we can, and we still cannot commit to a timeline. There is no "Move Fast and Break Things" in biosecurity hardware. Disabled people are a large part of our user base, and they usually don't have a lot of money. You can't charge $600 for something that doesn't work as advertised or doesn't last. People need a device they can be sure will protect them, with a long enough operating life to be affordable. That has to be right, not on time. There is an email sign up at the bottom of nukit222.com We will let everyone know when it's ready.

Fio@fiothenerd

Hi there @NukitToBeSure I don’t want to stress you, I am just wondering if you could give us an update about the Torch 2 and when approximately you will start selling it? Also, how many should one use in an average size meeting room? Is one enough or should one run two?
