@USNVetDad @Burgess7281975 There was no Canon of Scriptures/holy bible present during the apostolic age, the holy bible was a Catholic innovation starting in the 2nd century - Vetus Latina developed into the Holy bible (Vulgate) in the 4th century.

@alfray7 @Burgess7281975 No what I mean is, the assumed date of daniel by secular scholars was based on the presumption that prophecy was impossible. Then the dead sea scrolls cast the secular position into scrutiny. The same thing happened to Revelation pushing the date about 25 years

Sacred Oral Tradition of the Apostles necessarily preceded the NT Scripture and certainly the Canonization of the Old and New Testaments. (1) Historical Timeline B.C. 15 = Immaculata Born B.C./A.D. = Christ is Born A.D. 33 = Christ is Crucified A.D. 33 = Christ Is Risen A.D. 33 = Christ Is Ascended A.D. 33 = The Catholic Church forms at Crucifixion (Mystici Corporis Christi) A.D. 42/68 = Gospel of Matthew A.D. 42 = Saint James the Elder Martyred A.D. 45/65 = Gospel of Mark A.D. 47 = Epistle of James A.D. 48/50= Council of Jerusalem A.D. 51/52 = 1 & 2 Thessalonians A.D. 54/A.D. 66 = Gospel of Luke A.D. 55 = Epistle to the Galatians A.D. 55 = Epistle to Philemon A.D. 57 = 1 & 2 Corinthians A.D. 57 = Epistle to the Romans A.D. 61 = Saint Andrew Martyred A.D. 62 = Saint Philip Martyred A.D. 62 = Saint James the Just Martyred A.D. 62 = Epistle to the Philippians A.D. 62 = Epistle to the Colossians A.D. 62 = Epistle to the Ephesians A.D. 63 = Acts of the Apostles A.D. 64 = 1 & 2 Peter (First Encyclicals) A.D. 65 = Saint Matthias Martyred A.D. 65 = First Epistle to Timothy A.D. 65 = Epistle to Titus A.D. 65 = Epistle to Hebrews A.D. 65 = Epistle of Jude A.D. 66 = Second Epistle to Timothy A.D. 67 = Saint Jude Martyred A.D. 67 = Saint Paul Martyred A.D. 67 = Pope Saint Peter Martyred A.D. 67 = Saint Simon the Zealot Martyred A.D. 68 = Saint Matthew Martyred A.D. 72 = Saint Bartholomew Martyred A.D. 74 = Saint Thomas Martyred A.D. 95 = Apocalypse of Saint John A.D. 97 = 1, 2, & 3 John A.D. 98 = Gospel of John A.D. 100 Saint John of Patmos Dies (approximately) A.D. 382 Council of Rome under Pope Damasus identifies the Definitive Canon (2) Narrative The One True Faith not only preexisted the Canonization of Christian Scripture by Centuries it also preexisted the drafting of the New Testament Gospels and Epistles by decades. Here’s a series of questions below. Any one of these questions that elicits a “yes” is sufficient to prove my contention. (1) What year did Jesus Christ Ascend and when were the first and last of the 27 Books of the New Testament Canon drafted? Did Christ’s Ascension precede the publication of the NT Gospels and Epistles? (2) What year was the Acts of the Apostles completed? (3) Did the Ekklesia Kata Holos (referenced in Acts 9:31) necessarily preexist the completion of the Acts of the Apostles? (4) Did the Council of Jerusalem necessarily precede the completion of the Acts of the Apostles? (5) Was Saint Stephen a Deacon and Martyr of the Church before Acts of the Apostles was completed? Was Saint Stephen martyred prior to the Conversion of Saul of Tarsus? (6) Did the Church(es) at Rome necessarily precede Paul’s Epistle to the Romans? (7) Did the Church at Thessalonica necessarily precede Paul’s Epistle to the Thessalonians? (8) Did the Church at Galatia necessarily precede Paul’s Epistle to the Galatians? (9) Did the Church at Corinth necessarily precede Paul’s Epistles to the Corinthians? (10) Did the Church at Ephesus necessarily precede Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians? (11) Did the Church at Phillipi necessarily precede Paul’s Epistle to the Philippians? (12) Did the Church at Colossae necessarily precede Paul’s Epistle to the Colossians? (13) Where can we find the definitive Table of Contents for the Bible within Scripture? I could go on but you get the drift. We hold that Scripture is the Inspired Word of God but that the Church is likewise His inspired Church. #CatholicX #CatholicTwitter

It’s axiomatic and a tell with bells that in arguing for wrong, the argument(s) are dishonest. Your response is a textbook case in point. 1)No, De Fide Catholic teaching did not, and could not, predate NT Scripture. Scriptural validation in the Canon did not change its authority, it merely memorialized it. 2)Inserting the English translation into your erroneous point merely confirms you knew you have a wrong position and need to conflate with idiocy in hopes of obfuscating your terrible argument. 3)The Catholic faith tradition is wildly flawed and is so because it places fallible man on par with infallible God. Adding to Scripture and defying it in key false doctrines.

Catholics want you to believe there is a sort of revival happening in the Catholic Church with an abnormally large amount of conversions happening! What they fail to tell you is: “Catholicism has one of the largest net losses of any religion in the U.S. 13% of all U.S. adults are former Catholics Catholics have experienced the greatest net losses due to switching. About three-in-ten U.S. adults (30.2%) say they were raised Catholic. But 43% of the people raised Catholic no longer identify as Catholic, meaning that 12.8% of all U.S. adults are former Catholics. Meanwhile, on the other side of the ledger, 1.5% of U.S. adults have become Catholics after being raised another way. Overall, 18.9% of U.S. adults currently identify as Catholics, according to the new RLS. For Catholics, retention rates tend to be significantly lower than for other faiths, reasons given by former Catholics for walking away were clergy and religious leader scandals (39%) and dissatisfaction with church teachings on social and political issues (37%). Another 35% of former Catholics pointed to a gradual drifting away from their religion -- slightly less than the report's overall share of 38%. Equal shares of former Catholics said that their religion "just wasn't important" in their lives (36%) or that their spiritual needs were not being met (36%).” ***Data is quoted from the Pew Research Center & from the DetroitCatholic.com referencing the new study from Pew Research Center released Dec. 15, 2025 What’s really happening is that Roman Catholicism has a superficial lure promising structure and nostalgia, but once the short-lived experiences fade away these young converts seek truth and fulfillment elsewhere.
Joe McBride@McBrideLawNYC

Over 100k people are becoming Roman Catholic tonight in America. The number across the world is estimated at over one million. Adults become Catholic after 1 year of serious study often go on to be learned and devout. God’s Army is Growing. Long live the Catholic Church!

You realize the “Roman Catholic Church” existed, as a matter of natural history, before Saint Luke penned Acts of the Apostles (Chapter 9, Verse 31) and before Saint Paul wrote his Epistles to the Romans. On that note I’ll think I’ll prove Saint Paul is the quintessential Roman Catholic so we can dispense with this nonsense. (1) His Epistle to the Romans. (2) 1 Corinthians 10: “16 The chalice of benediction, which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? And the bread, which we break, is it not the partaking of the body of the Lord?  17 For we, being many, are one bread, one body, all that partake of one bread.” (3) 1 Corinthians 11:  “26 For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink the chalice, you shall shew the death of the Lord, until he come.  27 Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord.  28 But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice.  29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.” (4) Acts 19:11-12 So extraordinary were the mighty deeds God accomplished at the hands of Paul that when face cloths or aprons that touched his skin were applied to the sick, their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them. (5) Romans 2:6 “render to every man according to his works.” (6) 2 Corinthians 5:10 “receive good or evil according to what he has done.” (7) Romans 2:13 “For it is not those who hear the law who are just in the sight of God; rather, those who observe the law will be justified.” (8) 1 Corinthians 13:2 (If we have faith without love we have nothing). (9) Ephesians 1:22-23 “for the Church, which is His Body.” (10) 2 Corinthians 11:2 “betrothed you to Christ to present you as a pure bride to her one husband.” (11) Ephesians 5:25 “love your wives, as Christ loved the Church.” (12) Ephesians 5:29 “cherishes it, as Christ does the Church.” (13) Romans 2:5-7 “By your stubbornness and impenitent heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God, 6 who will repay everyone according to his works:[c] 7 eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works, (14) Romans 11:22 “Note . . . God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off.” (15) 1 Corinthians 9:27 “I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” (16) Philippians 2:12 “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (17) Hebrews 10: 35 “Therefore, do not throw away your confidence; it will have great recompense.36 You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.” (18) Ephesians 1:22-23 “And he put all things beneath his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way. (19) 1 Timothy 3:15 “Church of the Living God, the pillar and bulwark of the Truth.” (20) Hebrews 10:25 “not neglecting to meet together” (21) Ephesians 3:10 “that through the Church the manifold wisdom of God might be known.” (22) 1 Corinthians 1:16 (I baptized the household of Stephanas also; beyond that I do not know whether I baptized anyone else.). (23) 1 Corinthians 11:1 “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ” (24) 1 Corinthians 15:16 “For if the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised.” (25) Philippians 3:20-21 “But our citizenship[m] is in heaven, and from it we also await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body by the power that enables him also to bring all things into subjection to himself.”

@Ruggbugg2025 @sola_chad The Holy bible or the Canon of Scriptures is suppose to be the inerrant, God-breathed infallible Word of God. It should be error-free from the get-go, since it is a a personalized bible of king james, then it is susceptible to error, typical protestant fallible bible.

The Infallibility of the Canon was borne out of Sacred Apostolic Tradition and affirmed at the Synods or Rome, Hippo, Carthage I-III. This is Magisterial (see Trent, 1992 CCC, etc.). And if you believe the Scriptural Canon was fully complete by 70 A.D. I’d encourage you to put “Saint John the Revelator” in the Google Machine. Finally, on the Roman Residency of Saints Peter and Paul: 1 Peter 5:13 “The chosen one[g] at Babylon sends you greeting, as does Mark, my son.” (1) Saint Ignatius of Antioch “Not as Peter and Paul did, do I command you [Romans]. They were apostles, and I am a convict” (Letter to the Romans 4:3 [A.D. 110]). (2) Saint Dionysius of Corinth “You [Pope Soter] have also, by your very admonition, brought together the planting that was made by Peter and Paul at Rome and at Corinth; for both of them alike planted in our Corinth and taught us; and both alike, teaching similarly in Italy, suffered martyrdom at the same time” (Letter to Pope Soter [A.D. 170], in Eusebius, History of the Church 2:25:8). (3) Saint Irenaeus of Lyon “Matthew also issued among the Hebrews a written Gospel in their own language, while Peter and Paul were evangelizing in Rome and laying the foundation of the Church” (Against Heresies, 3, 1:1 [A.D. 189]). “But since it would be too long to enumerate in such a volume as this the succession of all the churches, we shall confound all those who, in whatever manner, whether through self-satisfaction or vainglory, or through blindness and wicked opinion, assemble other than where it is proper, by pointing out here the succession of the bishops of the greatest and most ancient church known to all, founded and organized at Rome by the two most glorious apostles, Peter and Paul, that church which has the tradition and the faith which comes down to us after having been announced to men by the apostles. With that church [of Rome], because of its superior origin, all the churches must agree, that is, all the faithful in the whole world, and it is in her that the faithful everywhere have maintained the apostolic tradition” (ibid., 3, 3, 2). “The blessed apostles [Peter and Paul], having founded and built up the church [of Rome], they handed over the office of the episcopate to Linus. Paul makes mention of this Linus in the letter to Timothy [2 Tim. 4:21]. To him succeeded Anacletus, and after him, in the third place from the apostles, Clement was chosen for the episcopate. He had seen the blessed apostles and was acquainted with them. It might be said that he still heard the echoes of the preaching of the apostles and had their traditions before his eyes. And not only he, for there were many still remaining who had been instructed by the apostles. In the time of Clement, no small dissension having arisen among the brethren in Corinth, the church in Rome sent a very strong letter to the Corinthians, exhorting them to peace and renewing their faith. . . . To this Clement, Evaristus succeeded . . . and now, in the twelfth place after the apostles, the lot of the episcopate [of Rome] has fallen to Eleutherius. In this order, and by the teaching of the apostles handed down in the Church, the preaching of the truth has come down to us” (ibid., 3, 3, 3). (4) Gaius “It is recorded that Paul was beheaded in Rome itself, and Peter, likewise, was crucified, during the reign [of the Emperor Nero]. The account is confirmed by the names of Peter and Paul over the cemeteries there, which remain to the present time. And it is confirmed also by a stalwart man of the Church, Gaius by name, who lived in the time of Zephyrinus, bishop of Rome. This Gaius, in a written disputation with Proclus, the leader of the sect of Cataphrygians, says this of the places in which the remains of the aforementioned apostles were deposited: ‘I can point out the trophies of the apostles. For if you are willing to go to the Vatican or to the Ostian Way, you will find the trophies of those who founded this Church’”

@Burgess7281975 lol is this supposed to he serious? The council wasn’t a universal council the canon was already well established by 70AD and closed with revelation. Rome did nothing for the church but corrupt it gradually and consistently.
