Organizations and religious institutions are made up many people. If leadership and the "bad apples" are addressed and mitigations are put in place to prevent future things from reoccurring, in time, I think it's totally acceptable to return. Look at all the German car dealerships that still exist today... BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen all were heavily involved in making vehicles for the German government during the 3rd Reich. Are they still considered evil? IBM, Hugo Boss, Siemens, Bayer, all these companies helped the Nazis as well. Assuming you're a US citizen, or live in the US, you pay taxes to a government that has done some retarded, evil and horrendous shit. Perhaps that's a little different because we're forced at threat of incarceration to pay taxes, but we could always move.

In fact the CC is till trying to prevent the extension of the Statutes of Limitations in order to avoid further cases from going forward.
