DJI is estimated to control over 70% of the global civilian drone market. Skydio says it will invest $3.5B over five years into American drone manufacturing and suppliers, as several U.S. companies try to reduce dependency on Chinese drone supply chains.

European map of robotics companies 🇪🇺 Let's zoom out a bit from the 'Europe can't innovate these days' framework Now let's refocus on how many great robotics companies Europe produced. I genuinely believe that EU has outstanding talent, and founders! TIME TO BUILD! Created & curated by @_jan_olsson_ 🔥

@WhitePapersPol How much money have the immigrants made for the NL, in exchange? Who’s gonna run the economy if you send away all the immigrants? Studies like this, that conclude without secondary effects on society, shouldn’t be funded. That’ll save the country some money

The Dutch have spent €580 billion on their foreign population since 1995. They will spend another €420 billion by 2040. It would be cheaper to pay every non-Dutch person with citizenship (and no criminal record) €100,000 Euros to emigrate/remigrate. It saves €285 billion.

Prediction: In less than 90 days, all channels that we thought were safe from spam & automation will be so flooded that they will no longer be usable in any functional sense: iMessage, phone calls, Gmail. And we will have no way to stop it.

We just trained the first LLM in space using an @Nvidia H100 on Starcloud-1! 🚀 We are also the first to run a version of @Google's Gemini in space! This is a significant step on the road to moving almost all compute to space, to stop draining the energy resources of Earth and to start utilizing the near limitless energy of our Sun! Thanks @pia_singh_ and @CNBC, for highlighting our work! @starcloud_, @AdiOltean, @ezrafeilden

@GlobalSumud Why not wrap food in small floating bottles? Get as close as possible, drop it all in water. Let the wind and water currents carry it to the destination? At least some aid will find its way? earth.nullschool.net

Been telling people quantum sensing is already here. It's in LIGO, in CSAC, and this is a magnetometer based on diamond nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center, with laser diode, microwave antenna, filter, and photodiode all together in a < 3 cc hermetically sealed package, <10 nT per rtHz.

@MehdiHacks @DirkBruere Isn’t THz too high freq for SAR like object detection in hidden areas? Wouldn’t the range of 1-10 GHz make more sense when it comes to a penetrating radar?

Today I learned about Terahertz imaging and its applications. The spectrum between 100GHZ and 10THZ is called the Terahertz spectrum. It sits between infrared, and radio waves, and shares behaviour with both radio waves, and light. Here's how it can be useful: 1/3

@NickParkerPrint This demo used a 100 x 100 km² map, which easily fits into an SD card (a 1 km x 1000 km map would take practically the same space). The ballpark size is "gigabytes" and is adjustable with a few settings that allow balancing between CPU, disk and accuracy.

@Balmung @Rainmaker1973 It has calcium oxide and liquid (probably water). If you pull the string, you get lime via the exothermic reaction CaO+H2O→Ca(OH)2, this is recyclable. But probably not recycled in practice, as consumers simply throw them away in general trash

Japanese self heating train bento. By pulling a string attached to the side of the box, a chemical reaction starts inside the pouch and the meal starts to heat up. After five minutes you can open the lid and dig into a hot and fresh meal.
