Today @CAPublicHealth confirmed the first known case of clade I mpox in the United States related to the outbreak in Central and Eastern Africa. CDC is awaiting the specimen for confirmation testing, assisting our state and local partners to understand more about this case and prevent mpox spread in the United States.
