@RaisahAhmed i was having a conversation about this this afternoon and how the protagonist of s4 original Skam is such an authentic character and redresses the false narrative that muslim women dont have agency. she was the most kick ass of them all and in her own way.

I have a lot of work to do but taking some time out to post this. I've seen a lot of stuff going around that is, once again, claiming that Muslim women are oppressed, that men from our communities control us or that we're not 'allowed' to do things. This is Islamophobia.

Funeral part I yesterday. Swam out for my far in the morning, despite snow and ice, and imagined dad on the shore, smiling but shaking his head, yet still there holding my belongings. A giant hole where once he stood. 💙🌊
