Dear @Kia_Worldwide you are shutting down my local Kia dealership as you say they aren’t big enough. And the earliest I can get my car booked in at the next nearest garage to resolve a warranty fault (Guildford) is 2 months away. I won’t be buying another Kia.

Two 19 year olds fighting for their lives in today’s Britain. Both now dead. Sudiksha Thirumalesh declared « delusional » and lacking the capacity to make decisions (whilst being declared fully sane and rational by 2 psychiatrists) by the High Court and gagged. Left to her fate. She had capacity. There were no flies on her. Christopher Nota (classic autism/IQ58/Epilepsy/Psychosis/suicidal/depression and anxiety) disingenuously judged to have capacity against all evidence and logic. Discharged to his death. The day before Chris died there was a large meeting of those who knew that he would die. Their internal emails said so (while they furiously denied it all and gaslit). The topic of the meeting? Can we now use legal to shut his mother up because she keeps selfishly pleading for his life? The NHS and ancillary agencies no longer have to even attempt to be safe because they can simply lie, gag and attack anyone who threatens « reputational damage. » Unlike Sudiksha, disabled young people do not have charities that will support a fight for life and the vast majority of families of disabled children can’t even get a lawyer even if they can afford it. They’re all « at capacity. » Why is nobody in jail? You won’t see Chris’s story because there is a near total national media blackout even without a gag. The British public won’t know that we made history this Summer in securing the first Statutory Public Inquiry into Mental Health services in our nation’s history. 2,000+ preventable deaths to be looked at. Why doesn’t the nation even know? Don’t let anyone say that this nation cares for its young or for the truth.

@dustychipura I often get little veins that burst in a finger and it’s really painful. The finger swells up and it’s tender for a few days. No obvious explanation just happens for no reason.

I haven’t yet watched #Panorama - ADHD Clinics Exposed, so will make a more informed comment when I have done so. I am, however, initially very concerned about the impact this is already having on the #ADHD community in the UK. If we are fortunate enough to be able to find the resources, many of us HAVE NO CHOICE but to seek a private diagnosis, given the long waiting times on the NHS. The majority of diagnostic clinicians for ADHD are incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and careful. Many have worked or still work for the NHS doing exactly the same job, and they do not carry out a different assessment process. The ADHD Collective sincerely hopes this type of reporting does not add to the stigma of ADHD as a made-up, excuse-based, or insignificant condition - but early responses to the programme are worrying. We wish more reporting time could be spent highlighting the reality of life with ADHD, furthering it's acceptance in society, and helping those who struggle with this serious, life-long, neurodevelopmental condition on a daily basis. In the meantime: YOUR STRUGGLES ARE VALID AND AREN’T YOUR FAULT ADHD is real and highly stigmatised. Let’s all stick together when under ‘attack’ like this. WE WILL beat stigma and as we do so, there will be inevitable backlashes. - Michelle

@MichelleBeckett Thank you Michelle! I’m watching and listening too. The takeaway to this cannot be “let’s put more barriers in place for those with ADHD to get the help they need.” The barriers are why private companies swooped in in the first place.

@drlindalouise Good god. Why on earth are you in the teaching profession? One of the results of not supporting ND children and YP, like my children and I, is long-term mental health issues. Please find a career where empathy isn’t a prerequisite. You may want to take a look at the SENRegs too.

When the LA, supported by the HT tried to go down the FII route (Having already labelled my ND son as having “behavioural issues” & definitely not Autism!) I had the help of the HT at my other son’s school who stood up to them. FII is the way they remove children

I work with these families. That's my point. We need not to see school as punishment ,our children,all children need the support to see as fun place.
