The mark of the man is so legendary that despite being a proud England cricket fan he was still one of my all time favourites. Tributes suggest he was an even better man than cricketer which must take some doing. Never saw him play in person wish I had.

@RickShielsPGA Well said Rick. I started with a £70 set of Howson irons from Argos and then slowly upgraded as and when circumstances allowed.

I see a lot of jokes on here about dunlop, slazenger, Donnay etc golf clubs. Established golfers know these clubs aren't the best and they don't perform amazingly so It's easy to laugh at them but they are cheap and get people into golf - surely that's a good thing!?

Perhaps Chelsea didn't do so poorly against Bayern then. Incredible.
