@erikwdavis Thanks! This is just an updated version of the earlier announcement about our NSF grant you tweeted about last month (UH might be surprised that most of the $/overhead is coming to UO- LOL).

Tam Pà Ling, Laos, is a cave near the top of Pa Hang Mountain. In it, archaeologists have excavated cultural and skeletal remains of some of the earliest modern humans in southeast Asia, some 70,000 years old. Photo: Fabrice Demeter

@erikwdavis I did a Wikipedia project this term where students are working on creating pages about important SEA Archaeological sites and it has turned out great. Students report it being so much more meaningful because of the public impact. Love these non-exam/non paper projects.

So happy to see Angkor as the cover story in this month's National Geographic History Magazine. Cover story by archaeologist Veronica Walker.

@rjhintz @seaarch Believe me, I complained about that trailer and narration many times and got no traction.

I hope the Lion is now at peace. With Toek Tik & Brad Gordon having waived their anonymity, I'm finally able to thank them for the critical role they played, not only in our @CultureTraffic research, but righting one of the Killing Field's many wrongs. nytimes.com/2021/12/05/art…
