In the first week of January of 2010, I left Valencia, Spain to fly to Paris for the last week of a 5 week trip to see multiple British relatives I'd not seen for 17 years in Scotland, England, Spain. At a gift shop in the Valencia airport the only English book I could find was

Dr. Walker is especially kind. Gives me lasix by IV. It has been 8 hours since I arrived. Paramedics deserve gratitude and some at staff at hospital. But those wait times? They are artificial. People told to leave if they can't wait. Very sad.3)

After a respiratory crisis I was taken to VGH by paramedics. Arrived 8 pm. Parked on stretcher in front of triage. Doctors chatting, nurses pass by, all very rude. When will I be seen? Answer wait time is 6 hours. 1)
