Jet skis used to be fun-now it's like a free-for-all with zero respect. Blasting past boats, cutting too close, ignoring every basic rule on the water. It's not that hard: slow down, give space, and think. If I were in one of those smaller boats, I wouldn't even argue-I'd just be waiting at the launch for them to come back in.

@PorkPoncho This happened to me and Sony refused to do anything to help. They treated me like I was the scammer. I provided them with transaction numbers and serial numbers and they still didn't help me but you're telling me the person took over my account with much less info? Ridiculous.

This will be a bit of a thread but I go into some stuff so bare with me… Off the back of the very public breach of @longislandviper's PlayStation Network account I've been doing a lot of research into the topic such as who attacks these accounts, why they do it, and how they go about gaining access. The TL;DR is that unfortunately @PlayStation very clearly employs some of the cheapest support agents possible in random parts of the world where this labour is cheap and the agent may not speak your language very well. They do not enforce certain security processes or procedures on those support agents, and it has left them with a gaping security hole in their support system that is unfortunately very easy to exploit. There is no way they don't know this, and there is no way they have not known this was an issue for a significant amount of time.

This is the Flats in Beverly Hills. For 50+ years it was the most desirable neighborhood on earth. Not just in LA, on earth. Now, 20% of the houses are for sale. Everyone is selling, no one is buying. This is what it looks like when a state loses its tax base.

United Airlines is using dynamic pricing This plane ticket says it’s $752. Once you out in the travelers information it says “Based on traveler information provided, the price of your ticket has changed” The price went from $752.20 -> $1,156.20 United see the trackers age was older so automatically drastically increased the ticket price Airlines started holding ‘separate fare buckets’ for different passenger categories. So now for the same seat, you can be sorted into age categories and have your price go up based on what United Airlines says their inventory is for each seat category This is dynamic pricing adjustments It’s only going to get worse if we let this continue

Meta will layoff 8000 of its workforce starting TODAY. Their net income over the last 12 months was $70,587,000,000. They could give every single one of their 79,000 workers a $440,000 bonus and still sock away over $35,827,000,000 in pure profit.

“Blue-collar jobs are safe from AI.” Not for long. This welding robot climbs vertical steel walls like Spider-Man. While everyone is watching AI replace coders and office work… industrial robots are quietly entering the physical world too. Welding. Grinding. Inspection. Rust removal. The scary part? Software automation was the easy phase. Now machines are learning to work in the real world.

@charise_lee @kevinolearytv The biggest thing is the water issue. There is no way it raises the temperature 28 degrees more than a hundred yards from the buildings. But they need to cool it with limited water or another system. They also need to power it themselves off th grid that exist now. Than it’s ok

Bank manager feels she gets to decide what rights people have on a public sidewalk. She calls the police and lucky for her she got a deputy that is just as ignorant about the laws and citizens rights as she is. Deputy L. Crawford of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office was the officer that responded and tries her best to violate this man's rights. The reason the call came in from the bank manager was due to concern that the man was filming from the sidewalk and capturing sensitive customer data on their monitors. The first thing Deputy Crawford did when she arrived was to immediately attempt to trespass the man and demand his identification. The man remained on the city sidewalk, which is traditionally a public forum where filming is a protected right. Florida Law (§901.151): Under "Stop and Identify" statutes, an officer cannot legally demand ID unless they have Reasonable Articulable Suspicion (RAS) that a crime is being, has been, or is about to be committed. The man argued that if the bank didn't want their screens seen, they should have moved them or used privacy film. Legally, anything visible from a public space is generally fair game for a camera. The tension peaked when the deputy noted the man was "physically shaking" as a justification for a wellness check, while the man countered by saying he gets frustrated when dealing with a bad cop referring to her being "baited" into an illegal detention. Know your rights folks, do not allow ignorance to bully you out of them. Also that bank is terrible if it has any screens facing a public window. The bank is responsible for putting people's personal info at risk. Let me know if you agree or if you have a different take.
