My husband had it in 1981 as a required course his senior year I graduated in 1983 we were required to take American history and economics, no civics class our senior year.

I blame our lack of education in how our government works and politicians manipulating people bc of it. Civics and civic responsibility should be a high school course. Understanding Government.
