@BoltsBreakdown I had anxiety and was sick to my stomach all series vs Tampa. I didn’t feel that once vs buffalo nor last night vs Carolina. Tampa was by far their toughest opponent and the conference final series that everyone deserved.

It’s going to feel oddly gratifying when Martin St. Louis lifts the Stanley Cup this year, knowing the Bolts were Montreal’s toughest opponent. 9 shots in GM7…wow. Will I ever recover?

Nick Suzuki has not only faced the hardest average opponent lineups of any remaining center in the playoffs, but the difference in difficulty between him and his 2C is larger than every other 1C and their 4th line center. MTL is literally just 1 piece away from a juggernaut.
yolo_pinyato_is_dead tweet media
yolo_pinyato_is_dead@yolo_pinyato

think that's one of the main factors, bc of the lack of a true 2C means teams can hard match their best defenders vs Suzuki's + his relative lack of footspeed and his willingness to make the right play over the riskier but higher value one makes it hard to dominate the best teams

@fnveenie @CanadiensEh I remember seeing that in 2010 against Washington and Pittsburgh but those 2 teams were absolute juggernauts. They eventually ran out of gas against Philly.

@CanadiensEh Canes have struggled with physicality and high scoring teams. They have a history of choking in the ECF. Habs have played them well and matchups in playoffs are more important than what the teams look like on paper. My main concern for MTL is them running out of gas.

I had to go for a drive to calm down. I was out of sorts for over an hour after. Still not settled. That game was insanely stressful.

Unbelievable. MTL didn’t deserve absolute shit tonight and the hockey gods gave them not one but two absolutely insane bounces. Other than the obvious, goals, don’t really know what more you could have asked for from TBs performance tonight. Sometimes, you just get hockey’d.

Reinbacher hitting the Slafkovsky development arc would be so huge. He's looked really good tonight. Nothing flashy, but just solid. Good outlet passes, well-timed hits, smart on battles. Impressive debut.

IF the strait of Hormuz opens and goes back to usual traffic, that will be around an average of 135 ships per day. 135 ships x 14 days= 1890 ships will pass through the strait of Hormuz the next 14 days. If Iran charges $2 million, and they split it with Oman, that is 1.89 billion dollars that Iran will make in the next 14 days. IF it stays open permanently and Iran is able to charge the $2m (and keep the 1m), that is almost $50 billion dollars per year for Iran that they will make yearly due to this war. Plenty of money to spend on the ballistic missile program! (And reconstruction obviously)

@op6931880973262 @intelFromBrian @AshSilverl39856 Are you implying that everything I just said is false? You say every fear never came true? The war was real, ppl died, gas prices went up, energy infrastructures obliterated. You live in an alternate reality. Quit apologizing for trump and hold him accountable once in a while

@op6931880973262 @intelFromBrian @AshSilverl39856 Please enlighten us. So far Iran still has enriched uranium, a ballistic missle program, the same regime and a new source of revenue. Nothing was accomplished. Oh wait, I’m wrong. 13 US soldiers dead, almost 400 injured, 45 billion spent and countless infrastructure destroyed

@intelFromBrian @AshSilverl39856 I think you may be misunderstanding, Trump does not care if Iran gets rich over time. He has said, he does not care to control the water way. That is up to the people that use it. You seriously have zero clues of what he’s trying to accomplish.

I'm trying to figure out why markets didn't like Trump's speech yesterday, with oil spiking hard and stocks reversing gains Before the speech, many speculated Trump would hint at sending boots on the ground Instead, he talked about winning the war, a new better regime, not being responsible to open the Strait of Hormuz, and the war ending soon I know markets spooked when he threatened another 2-3 weeks of "hitting them hard", but what did people expect? That he'll declare an end to the war last night? Trump wants to end the war, but Iran does not yet, as they have maximalist demands. They have the upper hand with the closure of the Strait. The only way to get them to concede is through military pressure, thus Trump's threat of "hitting them hard" It seems the markets were again too optimistic and got hit with reality The speech is as expected, and even slightly better. Trump solidified his position of wanting an off-ramp, and that is good news.
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

IMPORTANT: Did you all notice this post by Lindsey Graham yesterday? The man who's been calling for the destruction of the Iranian regime for the last decade just said "I support diplomatic efforts to end the conflict" and told Trump to "wind down the war and wind up efforts for an historic peace deal" This proves 2 things: 1. Israel wants this war to end, likely due to Iran’s constant missile barrage 2. Trump wants this war to end This is probably the best indicator that we will see an end to the war in the next few weeks

Today's Team Canada victory was the first of countless hockey games for Matteo Dante D'Amico. Even he didn't want to miss out on the Olympics 😅. His superstar mother is resting and well after 30 hours of labour. Best breaking news I've ever had the privilege of reporting ❤️.

@HockeyJunkieYT This right here. After November I was extremely skeptical about the Habs recovering from this. They weathered this storm perfectly. Just imagine where they’d be if none of these injuries happened.

Alex Newhook played 17 games this season. Kirby Dach played 15 games this season. Patrik Laine played 5 games this season. and Kaiden Guhle played 5 games this season. Yet somehow, at Christmas break MTL are 2nd place in the Atlantic Division. Habs fans, this is definitely something to be proud of with such a young team. On another note, I hope these guys asked for limbs for Christmas. 🙏 I want a healthy lineup. #GoHabsGo

@GJH62158763 @fnveenie Shopping Matthews, Reilly and Tavares doesn’t scream re-tool. It’s a full blown nuclear event. Time to tear it all down and start from scratch. They could get some really nice pieces from those 3

@fnveenie Leafs need a re-tool, if the Leafs are out of the playoff picture come trade deadline time it would not surprise me if they shop Matthews,Tavares and Reilly....they ain't going anywhere with Matthews as captain....
