45-75 year olds are in a booze crisis in the UK, with thousands and thousands in this age group hopelessly addicted to booze and can't do anything without factoring in getting pissed.

I watched ‘I Swear’ the film about John Davidson’s life with Tourette Syndrome. It’s a brilliant film. Perhaps the film luvvies who showed their true colours and sanctimonious hypocrisy and disgraceful treatment of John Davidson at the BAFTAs should actually watch it to really understand what real tolerance and acceptance actually is.

I think it is abundantly clear that the elite multimillionaire class love to preach inclusion, acceptance and understanding of disabled people until they are actually confronted with disability. They will stand on stage and applaud a film about the struggles of living with Tourette’s. They will celebrate the awareness. They will congratulate themselves on being progressive. But the moment they are faced with the hard, gritty reality of Tourette’s uncensored and unscripted for all to see and hear, the tone changes. Suddenly they are shocked. Suddenly they are appalled. Suddenly they are not quite as inclusive, accepting or understanding after all. The mask of virtue slipped. You invited a man with Tourette’s into the room. You were made aware of his condition. You applauded him. And then when Tourette’s did exactly what Tourette’s does, you recoiled. You cannot celebrate the story and reject the reality. Tourette’s is not tidy. It is not convenient. It is not performative. It is neurological. It is involuntary. It does not edit itself for elite comfort. The irony is this. Tourette’s is louder than ever right now. More people are learning. More people are asking questions. More people are understanding. You tried to distance yourselves from the reality. Instead you amplified it. We are all thinking of you Johnny. We are with you. And support for you and for everyone living with Tourette’s is only growing.

So a man invited to the BAFTA’s as inspiration for a film demonstrating the horrific hostility and lack of understanding people with Tourette’s face… is now facing horrific hostility and a lack of understanding over his Tourette’s? Have I got that right? 🤦

I’m dealing with a family emergency, so I won’t be doing broadcast interviews on the John Davidson Tourette’s tic at the BAFTAs story. Hearing the N word shouted at two of the most successful black actors in the world, on stage at the BAFTAs and broadcast on the BBC, was horrible. It made people uncomfortable. It should have. But it was an involuntary tic from someone who lives with Tourette’s syndrome. It was not chosen. It was not intentional. It was not an expression of belief. What’s astonishing is watching people who constantly lecture the public about inclusion suddenly abandon it the moment it becomes complicated. The same voices that demand respect for lived experience are now acting as if a neurodivergent man consciously decided to shout a slur for sport. Tourette’s is a neurological condition. It is not a political statement. It is not a moral failing. You cannot preach DEI and then punish someone for symptoms of their neurodivergence. Even the Royal Household has previously understood Davidson’s condition. Not even the late Queen was immune to his tics he said “F*ck the Queen” TO HER FACE. If that reality can be accepted there, it should not be beyond the rest of us. Two things can be true at once. The word is abhorrent. The tic was involuntary. If your commitment to inclusion collapses when it involves neurodivergence, then it was never inclusion in the first place.

This was the response when John Davidson said ‘Fuck the Queen’ to her face while receiving his MBE. “One of the officials put his hands on my shoulder and said, ‘Don’t worry, the Queen understands’, and at that point I felt accepted. Her Majesty was very kind”

In the early 1990s, while filming Mrs. Doubtfire in San Francisco, Robin Williams made a quiet request. He asked the crew to hire a few people from a nearby homeless shelter. No press. No explanation. He didn’t want anyone to know why. Later, an assistant director revealed that Robin did this on every film. He insisted that at least ten people from shelters be given jobs—catering, cleanup, production help. By the end of his life, nearly 1,500 people had worked because of him. One man hired on Mrs. Doubtfire said, “He treated me like I’d been there forever. Joked with me every day like we were old friends.” Robin never talked about it. Others did—after he was gone. In the late 1980s, after a stand-up show in New York, Robin slipped into a shelter alone. No cameras. He brought pizza, sat on the floor, and listened. One man said later, “He didn’t ask about our mistakes. He asked what made us laugh as kids.” During Good Will Hunting, he again asked the studio to hire from shelters. One man saved enough to rent an apartment. Robin bought him a suit for job interviews. “Everyone deserves a second act,” he said. Shelters later discovered large anonymous donations. One Los Angeles shelter only learned the truth when a thank-you letter came back marked “no such address.” A worker recognized the handwriting. Whoopi Goldberg once said, “He didn’t want applause for helping. He wanted action.” While filming Patch Adams, Robin visited a shelter in West Virginia carrying boxes of socks, gloves, and coats. When asked why, he smiled and said, “The weather’s turning. Cold doesn’t care if you’re tired.” Even on tour, he’d walk streets at dawn, handing out coffee and sandwiches. When a guard asked why, Robin replied, “Because this is where people are.” Robin Williams didn’t perform kindness. He practiced it—quietly, consistently, without witnesses. And that may be the greatest role he ever played. Credit to the rightful owner

Everyone seems afraid to say this but Kate is a hypocrite. You don’t get to wrap yourself in “healing through nature” while supporting industries that kill animals for sport. Standing up for nature means changing behaviour, not polishing an image.
