@mavisclare Sorry about your stepdad. At my annual physical last week, my primary was double masked with a kn95 under a surgical. Unfortunately, only about half the staff were masked, and most in the waiting room were unmasked. Disheartening level of mask use.

My stepfather died of cancer in Sept 2021. We got to visit in June & Sept '21 -- time we wouldn't have had if he'd died of covid before his time. I'm so glad he was kept safe during all the visits he made to the hospital in my hometown. The hospital that no longer requires masks.

It's tough seeing group photos of doctors/cancer researchers not bothering to mask at large professional gatherings. If they don't mask there, will they bother masking on the trip home? Will they bother eating outside instead of inside? Will they mask around patients?

Is it just me or is FB sending a truly desperate looking number of emails lately? Did settings or policies get changed recently? I've had to go & disable all sorts of notifications. No idea why they think I need an *EMAIL* alerting me that so and so posted a random photo!
