If you would’ve told me a year ago that I’d be in a chat with girls only speaking Portuguese and I’d understand every single thing and be able to write back in Portuguese I’d say you’re fucking lying but here I am semi-fluent in a third language! Diva 🆙

Like it can measure temperature on the natural cycles app but it only does it once a day which seems counter intuitive for measuring temps in the case of random illness
paola@alosaav

I’m @ouraring’s biggest downfall is not actively measuring temperature so that one can be aware if one has a fever or not

When I was 17, I stood on a Disney Channel set and sang "We went to the moon in 1969" into a camera. It was supposed to be a joke — a deliberately silly song about a historical fact. But somehow that little earworm stuck with millions of kids who are now the adults watching tonight's launch. Artemis II is sending the first woman toward the Moon. The first Black astronaut to the Moon. The first Canadian to the Moon. Under a full Pink Moon. On April 1st. You couldn't write this. Christina Koch, Victor Glover, Reid Wiseman, Jeremy Hansen — Godspeed. 🙏 We went to the moon in 1969. And tonight, we're going back. #Artemis2 #NASA #ChristinaKoch #WeWentToTheMoon #PinkMoon #BackToTheMoon

HEADS UP! 🌒 The moon will turn RED next Tuesday morning on March 3rd across the United States from a Total Lunar Eclipse! The times below are the best viewing opportunities per time zone (weather permitting). For the East Coast, there will even be a rare "Selenelion"...which is when both the sun and the eclipsed moon are visible simultaneously above the horizon just before sunrise!

This is the path Artemis II will take – sending humans out again next March, after more than 50 years. Instead of a straight shot, NASA is sending four astronauts on a "hybrid free-return trajectory." They'll whip around Earth to gain speed, then use the Moon's gravity like a giant slingshot to hurl themselves back home. No engine burns for the return trip, just pure orbital mechanics and vibes.

i’ve been so fascinated by the voyager mission story since i was a kid. there’s just something existentially moving about a spacecraft built all the way back in the 70s still functioning far beyond its original mission, carrying so many of our deepest human curiosities into the unknown. voyager 1 was launched in 1977 and has been traveling nonstop for nearly five decades at roughly 17 km per second. it crossed the heliopause (where our solar system ends) back in 2012 and now drifts through interstellar space, more than 15.8 billion miles from our planet. endlessly moving through the vastness of space, carrying our signal, our sounds and a small mark of our civilisation. drifting eternally with the quiet possibility of hopefully one day bumping into something or someone out there. i think that's just so beautifully haunting to think about.

🚨: Voyager 1 just said Hello from interstellar space. That's 15.8 billion miles away

For thousands of years, babies slept with their mothers. When they cried, they were attended to. Then two men came along: Dr. Holt and John B. Watson. They said babies should be trained. That babies had to fit the assembly line schedules of their parents. "Newborns must cry to expand their lungs," they claimed. "Simply let them cry it out." And that's how the "cry it out" sleep training method was born. Watson treated babies like experiments. "Never hug or kiss your child," he wrote. "Shake hands with them in the morning." After all, mothers needed rest, to attend to their husbands and households. Watson had four children. Three attempted suicide. One succeeded. And we still follow it today. Because once you convince a mother to ignore her baby's cries, you've broken something primal.

After their breakup due to alleged cheating by Gigi, Kai Cenat tried to take back the $1 million penthouse he bought for her but couldn’t. When he bought the house, Gigi convinced him to register it in her name, threatening to break up if Kai put it in his name because it would mean he doubted her loyalty. Kai eventually registered everything in her name, only for her to break up a few months later. Now she’s allegedly living in the house with her new boyfriend.
