He removed every obstacle in the way (and went on holiday) as soon as he was informed of the possibility. I respect it.
Joel@joellikesthis
The funniest part in all of this is how Maresca and his people handled the whole thing.

Anyone that says GEJ was a bad president is a liar, the only problem we had was boko haram and chibok girls saga, we had stable economy dollar rose and fell, since APC entered the economy worsened dollar rose and didn't fall, black market became the normal price in official market to stabilise it, theres ISWAP and still BOKO HARAM any, anybody not calling out APC is a tribal bigot.

@iJustxnobinwuru @GodwinsNduka1 @nwoke_anambra2 Can you imagine!
i don't understand this reluctance/fear to look Atiku in the face and tell him the truth. They're always absolving him of blame in the most ridiculous way.
English

See how he stylishly brought Zik/Igbo into the imprisonment of Awolowo, when the key collaborator was actually Chief S.L. Akintola (Awolowo's rival in the West), who aligned with the FG under Prime Minister Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa to imprison Awolowo, his fellow Yoruba man.
Nwoke Anambra@nwoke_anambra2
Atiku to SA, btw. Our interest fighters are over to you guys. @GodwinsNduka1
English

@nwoke_anambra2 I will not blame Atiku for this post. This is his view or opinion. You know I live in Lagos and I run my business here. It does not matter which party they belong to. They have same views about Igbos.

Atiku used us as leverage to build his profile when he teamed up with PO in 2019. Prior to that, his first and only presidential election outing, he garnered 2.6 million votes and came 3rd behind Yar'Adua and Buhari in an election where the winner polled 24.6 million votes.
Atiku remaining relevant in Nigerian politics today is down to that single election. That's the only election he still uses as a bargaining chip.
Despite using us to boost his profile 7 years ago, what has he given back to ndị Igbo?
In 2023, when the presidency clearly had to return to the South and with PO in the picture who was very eminently qualified, what did Atiku do?
Ndị Igbo supported Shagari/Ekwueme. Ojukwu actively campaigned for them in 1983 in an election against NNAMDI AZIKIWE, raising Shagari's hand in several cities in the southeast.
When it became clear that Ekwueme had built the clout and consensus to become the next president, what happened? A northern led coup truncated the government.
When Alex Ekwueme toiled day and night to put together the resistance front that led to the return to democracy in 1999 and eventually morphed into what is today known as the PDP, what happened? The "generals" decided that the southwest had to be compensated for Abiola, and the election was contested between two Yoruba men.
Again, what more negotiation and aggreability do you expect from ndị Igbo?
I'm sorry, but you need to go to a river and wash this slave mentality off your head. I'm very, very glad that Peter Obi has refused to let this insane mentality rub off on him.
Maduagwu Nzubechi@MaduagwuNzubec1
Rmk isn't doing obi a favor, rmk is using us as leverage to build his political weight for 2031, rmk has nothing to loose. He's not that popular in the north for a starter.

@IsahAbdullatif @nigeriasbest It's a good thing that you consider Atiku being your father an insult.
English

@alsorna_ @nigeriasbest The insults you are hurling are actually your own father's character traits; however, Atiku is far too great to be the father of 'donkeys' and 'animals' like you and Obi
English

@IsahAbdullatif @nigeriasbest He is not my father; you can have him all to yourself.
English

@alsorna_ @nigeriasbest That's your fuck!ng father all over

NOMINATION FEES TO CONTEST FOR GOVERNORSHIP AND SENATE IN THE US
THE US IS A $32TRILLION SIZED ECONOMY WITH GDP PER CAPITA OF $70,151...
The nomination form fee (officially called a ballot filing fee) to run for Governor in the United States varies completely by state, ranging from $0 to $5,250/N7.3million, or calculated as 1% to 2% of the governor's annual salary.
Unlike countries where political parties charge massive, centralized fees to purchase forms, U.S. candidate fees are regulated by individual state laws and paid directly to the state's election office.
NOMINATION FEES TO CONTEXT FOR SENATE IN THE US
Flat-Rate States: Some states require relatively low flat fees, such as $500 in Kentucky
Percentage-Based States: Many states calculate the fee based on the salary of a U.S. Senator (currently $174,000). For instance, a 1% fee equals $1,740/N2.42million, while states charging a 2% fee require $3,483/N4.8million
The average Nigerian, in a country with over 197million poor people , and disappearing middle class income earning population, do not see anything wrong with fixing outrageous fees for partu nomination forms in Nigeria
How do parties fund their elections in thr US and other democracies ...Even closeby Ghana ?
How do Candidates fund their elections in the US, Europe and other democracies
Do you guys see clearly , why here is not fixable...The level of ignorance is heart sinking
I just weep for this country

@KetoFlare off the ball and in progressing our attack means that he usually starts sequences rather than finishing them. Rather than receiving the ball in favourable areas, he is the one that creates those situations for the interiors (O'Reilly/Cherki/Foden) etc. Rodri was most (2)
