1. #InternationalWomensDay It is often highlighted how men can support women, but very little is written about the many women that have supported men's careers including my own - i will be forever grateful for all the opportunities afforded to me by the many women i work with. I wanted to highlight some of the brilliant women that i have worked with who have supported my career over the past year with my annual thread. @mirvatalasnag a powerhouse, iconic IC and a friend- who invited me to be a co-director for #TCT_Plus_MiddleEast @alaide_chief president elect of EAPCI, a friend and supporter who has supported me professionally and collaboratively @hvanspall a role model clinican scientist that has hugely contributed to my groups work and invited me to contribute to her programs, and friend @zahra_raisi who has worked within my group and produced some high impact work around CV disease in pts with cancer

Our analysis led by @alyaa_an using UK national data shows Oral anticoagulant prescribing among patients with cancer and atrial fibrillation in England is much less than in patients without cancer, esp haematological malignancies snd lung CA, even though these pts are at higher stroke risk. acsjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cn… @dataevan @RosaParisi09 @Salwasz278 @OncoCard_Ganken #cardiooncology @kamleshkhunti @parthaskar @onco_cardiology @KardiologieHH @hvanspall @DrMarthaGulati @iamritu @AnastasiaSMihai @KemalogluOz @CardioOncology @CardioOncCOIN @Cardioonc_bot

Our analysis shows.. That the incidence rates of NVAF rose by almost a quarter in England between 2009 and 2019, and there are ethnic and socioeconomic inequalities of care for atrial fibrillation patients in England.
