defo that nurse must be talented - well done However, few things I'm not getting : 1- I've never heard of a shortage in TAVI operators, it's always a shortage of beds and staff to look after pt 2- lower what cost!? if we are training nurses to do Tavi, why should they get paid less?

I can assure you that's when anyone important comes to the hospital it is communicated to the most senior consultants to look after the patient. I have been involved in the care of many of such "VIPs" in my career. They would never advocate anyone other than a senior consultant to manage their care It should be no different for the general public, they should not have to be managed by PAs and the individuals with no medical training. Equity should be more than just a tagline.
