RATIONALISATION OF GOV'T EXPENDITURE: The PSST Dr @rggoobi has said that effective next FY 2026/27, @GovUganda will not spend money on organising public functions (public holidays) including: Women's day,Labour day,Independence day etc). He says money will only be spent on the few religious functions. According to Dr.Ggoobi,H.E the President @KagutaMuseveni will address Ugandans on Radio and Television from State House, adding that the money saved will be used to finance the priorities of Gov't (ATMS & Enablers).

Prof, don’t you think the appointing authority @KagutaMuseveni has access to his own government’s Attorney General? But also this: “if allegiance to the Republic of Uganda requires certain categories of leaders to denounce other citizenships, where is the problem?” Where do you get this mistaken belief that being a dual citizen somehow confers less loyalty/allegiance to the republic? You should be above such pedestrian thinking. Are the government officials currently stealing more than 10 trillion UGX a year in corruption dealings dual citizens? Can they be said to bear allegiance to the republic simply because they only hold one passport; the Ugandan one? As a Professor and dude who runs a university, this level of “malwa joint reasoning” should be beneath you.

Don't set a precedence where the regime will use its opponents as collateral to intimidate them from exercising their political mandate to choose and elect their own leaders independently. The political prisoners MUST be released unconditionally and compensated as well.

National Task Force on epidemics has decided, with immediate effect, to close Uganda’s border with DRC.

M7’s new cabinet suggests a play for tight personal control, loyalty-based stability, and incremental balancing rather than grooming an obvious successor or signaling a clean 2031 exit. Museveni has just begun the 2026–2031 term; by its end, he’ll have ruled for 45 years.

In 2013, Rwanda’s Military Intelligence News outlet summed it well with the headline: “A Rwandan National Wins Canadian Innovation Award.” Lawrence Muganga, a Rwandan national, worked at Rwanda Revenue Authority and later in President Paul Kagame’s office before moving to Canada.
