This is dead wrong...Saudia Arabia, Dubai... many of the richest countries on earth have ZERO income tax, free healthcare..the works... and Alberta is richer per capita in OIL than UAE What happens is you offset with sales tax. This gives the advantage to a person willing to sacrifice for a few years and not buy things, to build a financial portfolio Essentially it allows citizens to choose where, how much and when they pay their taxes and when they can afford it. Want to pay less tax? Don't buy that 130K truck Doing well this year and can afford it? Buy a mercedes.

Just invaded the socialist echo chamber on Yukon Facebook with this post 😂 Everyone who reads this will say I’m crazy But i predict Independence is going to take Western Canada by storm. Alberta is only the beginning. Sask will be next. Northern bc already has wexit signs all along the highway. Yukoners will say can’t happen up here, and we need government to survive. Ok that’s true. But it ain’t Ottawa who’s been paying our bills. It’s been Alberta all along. And if they leave, there will be a massive financial and constitutional incentive to join them, starting with a 0% income tax rate, while EXPANDING the social infrastructure. It’s life changing economic and social change. I looked it up, the APP has a financial plan and the numbers all check out. 0 percent income tax, no cuts to programs and still a massive surplus. It’s wild how much Ottawa is taking from them. The feds have become an obstruction and a parasite on Canadians of all stripes, purely focused on pleasing urban voters in the GTA I mean, arent you all tired of our prime minister being decided before Yukon polling stations even close? Western and northern votes literally dont matter. We have no leverage and there is no incentive to cater to our needs. But still, they tax to the bone and try to censor and crush our way of life. dictate rather then cooperate. While it’s painful to let the idea of Canada go, id argue it may already be gone, at least the Canada i know. Drugs, crime, cost of living, loss of rights, property fears… and now canada is getting in bed with china. Communism is fundamentaly un canadian. We cant go there, think about what China did to the wolverine mine. How many Yukoners‘s got ripped off by the chinese? Ot was nuts. Yukoners can’t work any harder. So many i know are just scraping by. I have friends making over 100K a year and they are flat broke working around the clock to survive We need low taxes and small government. We need the govt out of our personal lives. We need to have the right to own things and speak our minds without fear. As yukoners we also need firearms. IMO the only way to truly secure those things now is to escape canada. All I know is that I identify as a Yukoner first, before anything else. I live a traditional lifestyle as much as i can. I respect indigenous culture, lands and language and i seek l to protect the Yukon from any violations of the outside world I have literally nothing in common at all with an our eastern overlords, the king of England or what this insane federal government has been doing the last 10 years. If given the chance I would vote to join with Alberta in a heartbeat, and in the coming years I suspect many more Yukoners will too.

@YukonStrong @darryldjd Love the simple SINGLE tax: sales taxes like you say. Collected basically at the cashier. Are you ultra rich and buy planes and yachts? Then you pay a ton of taxes. Are you minimalist? The you pay less! I have been living a tad minimalist for exactly this reason, be taken less.

@YukonStrong @darryldjd Several states in the US also don’t have income tax. Texas is one on this front, plus also don’t have crazy zoning laws that creat home deficits (and ballooned prices, homelessness, corruption tied to it, the works). Besides Austin and Houston, life tends to be quite affordable.

@includebeer Those companies don't impact me however, the main reason for dropping Apple support is that there's very little users and the cost of development is the highest out of all platforms.

I've decided to stop supporting Apple. Asset Forge will still receive updates on Mac because I think that's fair to customers. Future projects however won't be released for Mac anymore, instead I'd like to focus on Windows/Linux. Reasons include costs, low amount of users, Apple.

@_JamesSharpe_ A quick question, just to wrap my head around it (I feel I’m getting it wrong): is it 3D position on a 2D texture? (UV is location in volume ‘topdown’, red height from bottom floor, green height from the top)? Or is it really 3D? (and the display shown happens to be a slice)

This ended up being fast enough for us to update it dynamically :)

Here is a technique we used on Gears 5 to store 3D information in a single sample of a 3D texture. I'm keen to push this further as there are potentially a lot of good wins in regards to memory and performance.

@_danilo !! I never thought about emojis being a driving force to make people want to upgrade their iOS! I was often on the complainers corners of “Here we go more emojis and more watch bands instead of the new Macs we want”. Joined with hardware long term support, this paints a new pic.
