@complexcastlesx @InsideArsenal89 A player with a reputation for being me first, who will demand enormous money and gets injured all the time are all opposites of our recruitment model. For me it’s Kroupi. The ball striking and finishing are already elite + shifty mobility, the things we liked abt Isak

@Lehlogonoloser9 Mate only/major worry about him is mental profile. The level of exposure and scrutiny at big clubs is not for everybody. Ability is not a question.

Zubimendi is only going to get better To be able to play that many games and be world wclass in the majority of them in your first season in English football is super impressive. A refreshed Zubimendi + new midfield recruit(s) to ease the load.

@austriangooner1 @GrationHarvey My inclination is to start a conservative, athlete, heavy lineup with one major outlet, either Vic or little Gabby, and then introduce match winners and moments players late on

Yes, I believe this is a Kai Havertz game w Gyökeres a 'finisher.' There's a chance to dominate PSG aerially & Kai's partnership/s w Saka (& maybe Eze) are 'stabilisers' for when PSG inevitably fly out. The same way Hincapie 'finishes' for Calafiori (now Hakimi isn't playing?)

@Lehlogonoloser9 For me, it’s all about balance and fit. I do not see the need to spend big on a midfielder of his profile. We already have several great all around midfielders. Greater needs to be addressed.

Sandro Tonali is a generalist whose best attributes would be brought to the fore under Arteta. That being said, he doesn't walk into our lineup. Price is everything. Newcastle will probably demand 80 Million (they will want to make a profit). I don't think we should spend more than 50 million.

@EBL2017 Attacking fluency, power and precision in middle third actions under pressure, more pressure resistant ball handlers moving between the lines. Havertz > Vik, Myles > Zubi, Cala > Piero. Then improved timing/baance between attackers making runs and passers looking up to see them

I already know exactly where and how Arsenal can improve. And I already know exactly WHO they need to get there. All players that I have HEAVILY backed in the past. But also players that the club have been tracking for years. I'll release it after the CL final. First, PSG…

@RohanJivanAFC The psychology of the “other” fans has fascinated me. Why would a Milwall fan (e.g.) hate Arsenal’s success? Then I realized because to them we represented a form of large scale under achievement that made their own lack of success more palatable. Now they lost that crutch.

@ThatAnfieldBuzz The desire to steal joy from others. Mean spirited. Our clubs are not enemies. We stand for the same things: identity, culture, stability, intensity (more recently for us). We are heritage clubs.

One of these rocked up, spent £14m and won the EPL in 34 games then went on the piss, finishing with 84 points. The other has spunked over £1bn on players in 6 years and has finally finished with 85 points, but VARsenal fans want to gaslight you in to thinking Arteta is the GOAT!

Chelsea finished 10th. In the top half based on goal difference only. What a complete and utter disgrace. Xabi Alonso has his work cut out to solve the culture at the club.

Can we all agree that Man Utd have played the best football in the league since Carrick came in? Most points won. Most goals scored. And easily some of the best football to watch.

@EBL2017 Word is Chelsea want to sign Morgan Rogers. Thats a guy who is not complementary to Cole Palmer. In fact they’re quite similar. Both need space and runners ahead of them to clear shooting and passing lanes, then deliver a crucial final action. Both together? Wont work.

Alonso ticks every box for me, guys. And Chelsea have a ridiculously special group of players. Alonso has to solve the culture and implement his elite game-model (not a back 5). Then he will succeed. It has also been reported that he will have significant sway in transfers…

Xabi Alonso can be Chelsea's own version of Pep Guardiola, Jürgen Klopp or Mikel Arteta. Nothing is a guarantee in life, but Alonso is as close it gets to being a guarantee. Below I break down his ENTIRE game-model & why Chelsea fans should be excited beyond belief. THREAD! 🚨

@EBL2017 My biggest red flag for him is taking this job AFTER taking Madrid. Lesson not learned? Palmer is much like the Madrid “divas.” He won’t defend consistently. And when Blueco has to choose between him or Xabi, will they choose Xabi? Unlikely.

The only way Alonso fails is if he fails to solve the culture at the club, has a political dispute behind the scenes, or deviates from his best possible game-model (the back 4). We need to see a consistent game-model. That's the only thing we haven't seen from Alonso so far…

@EBL2017 My thesis: he needs to hitch himself to Reece for the culture and unlock Palmer by putting runners around him. That means Jackson, not Pedro. I hope he does neither 🫣

The very best managers have a certain way of playing and stick to it. But Alonso wasn't able to do that with a back 4 at Madrid because of the variables involved with managing that unique club. At Chelsea? He will have total power to do that. I expect Alonso to succeed. 🛑🤯

I will be turning nocturnal for the World Cup… When you wake up in the morning, you can expect detailed analysis of those 3am and 5am kick offs from EBL. Right the way through the tournament. Placed a bulk order of Vitamin D to keep me ticking over (a higher dose than usual).

@pedroelchileno Rice, Casemiro, Gravenberch, Caicedo, Tonali, Baleba or Onana are not buildup specialists Bernardo, Wharton, Macalister do not have great physique (but Bernardo is great OOP) So Anderson, Guimaraes, Fernandes, Zubimendi, maybe Lavia and Myles (both raw)

Can anyone point out to a highly technical and tactical DM/CM in world football today? At any stage of his career. By this I mean a DM that: - Is not restricted to playing DM - Buildup specialist - Performs actions with high technical quality - Has great positioning OOP - Has a great sense of space IP (creating it AND using it) - Is a good defender - Has good or better physical qualities

@austriangooner1 @faraondefutbol If you want that guarantee I’m not sure there’s many beyond Amadou Onana. Pricey + some passing on the back foot work but there isn’t better “legs” out there.

I don’t want to see Rice’s face until November post WC. Biggest factor for our midfield signing. Needs to eat space vertically and be passable on an island oop.
