@amcelroy1 @kclairerogers My 10 year old daughter walked 18 holes in 2 hours, 55 minutes the other weekend. Full size course (6600 from tips. She played at 5000 yards). She shot her lowest round yet too.
No reason a top ranked amateur can't play in a little over 4 hours. Slow play benefits no one.

Bailey Shoemaker's group was never on the clock in the first two rounds. They were not out of position. In fact, they waited on the group in front, which was on the clock.
Shoemaker's playing parters are a combined 10 under for the tournament and in a share of sixth.
