I see govt are releasing the 2024 sewage dumping numbers tomorrow, the day after the budget, or as our American cousins would call it Take Out The Trash Day. As the media will be focusing heavily on all things budget it's the perfect day to bury all the sh*t you would really prefer people not to notice. Nice try. PS. I hear they're horrific. PPS. And now you know what all the activity has been about the last few weeks, the national tours, the banning bonuses, the jail sentences, all unlikely, all in vain attempt to create a smokescreen, all completely pointless. I am receiving a significant amount of correspondence from constituents expressing concern at the removal of the Winter Fuel Allowance. It will affect an estimated 75% of recipients in Middlesbrough & Thornaby East. I have made sure the Chancellor is aware of local concerns.

I remember last year seeing a number of older patients admitted for hypothermia and malnutrition… Living in one room to keep warm… Eating biscuits for calories! The way we treat the elderly in this country is utterly shameful And so far, still waiting for Labour to step up!

I'm no economist, but if cutting winter fuel payment saves £1.4BN a year, and the energy companies are raking in over £1BN a week in profits, maybe an 'easier decision' would be to TAX THE PROFITS OF THE F*CKING ENERGY COMPANIES to cover the cost, rather than freeze pensioners?!

For 14 years we’ve repeatedly heard politicians talk about the "tough choice" of austerity. Why is it always the working class hit by these "tough choices", and not UK billionaires who have seen their wealth increase threefold in the past decade to £684,000,000,000?

Cross bench peer Baroness Altmann will table a "fatal motion" to stop Labour's cuts on winter fuel payments for pensioners going through Although it's unlikely to succeed, I hope that it does I still can't understand why Labour is making these cuts as deep as they propose 🤷🏼‍♀️
