When small is large! Small differences between different PIP lipids lead to large difference in their GPCR interactions. Sometimes competing for the "perfect fit", sometimes subbing in for one another, we show that each interacting PIP lipid has its own unique molecular signature

GLP-1R is a class B GPCR & important target for drugs in diabetes & obesity. Our recent work with @durbignon analyzed cholesterol interactions with GLP-1R in 4 conformational states. We observed increased enrichment of cholesterol around receptors in active conformational states

My memory of David Baltimore is two talks of him I attended in person. These are probably the best science talks I have attended - so clear that it is easy to understand the research problem he was addressing even if one is not aware of the area well.
