27 Lakh Voters were deleted in West Bengal. These were not 'dead people' or 'bangladeshis'. These were real people who had already appealed to get their votes restored. The Supreme court could’ve delayed the West Bengal elections until the tribunals finished hearing the appeals of these voters. But they didn’t. Only around 1607 voters were restored in time by phase 2 of these elections. Almost every appeal that was heard turned out to be a wrongful deletion. In any functional democracy, this would not count as a free and fair election where a large section of voters have lost their voting rights. I'm not saying that TMC would've won for sure if they were added back, maybe BJP would still win, but the question is about the fairness of these elections. Free and fair elections are a spectrum. Ever since Delhi-Maharashtra-Bihar-Bengal, this needle has moved more and more towards being unfair. Each time somehow the opposition parties participate as usual in the electoral process thinking that they can still pull of a win despite the compromised EC, ED, CBI etc. and each time they have been proven wrong after 2024 Lok Sabha. The question is, at what point will they feel that the level of unfairness is so unfair that elections should be boycotted? I personally feel TMC should have refused to participate in these elections until all those 27 lakh appeals were finished being heard.

Media is responsible because they normalised the immoral and unethical behaviour of politicians when they left their political parties because of greed or threats. Infact, Media started promoting it as “Chanakya Neeti” and “Masterstroke”

Dear Sandeep @SandeepPathak04 I was listening to your press conference today. Among the three options, if there is no way you can continue working with AAP, you could have left AAP and resigned from your MP post. Joining the BJP is not just gaddari to Arvind Kejriwal who trusted in you and other AAPians who believed in you; it is gaddari to 1.4 billion Indians. Others may have reasons to bend under pressure, but you do not have any reason to bend to any pressure. You should never be seen as a gaddaar in the eyes of your daughter. Joining BJP is an insult to every single day of your life so far, which you have led with relentless hard work, facing hurdles at each step. As you yourself said, there are many other ways of nation-building. Let us work on those options. Please do not go to BJP. This country needs more people like you to fight for restoring the normal functioning of institutions. It is okay to not know the art of politics. It is okay to not always have common sense. Our education has taught us humility - to accept our failures and to accept what we do not know. But doing gaddari is not at all a solution to this. If you cannot stand internal politics within AAP, imagine - you may not be able to sustain even one day in BJP. They will swallow you in no time. We are just ordinary people (read that 100 times). Do not call Chaddha, Maliwal, Mittal "gaddars". At least I won't They did what I would have, what am sure you would have done. What most of us would have done. There is only one Sanjay Singh, one Jain, one AK, one Sisodia among lakhs. Rest of us are humans. We can be coerced, threatened, bribed. The real gaddar is the Indian citizen, and more accurately, majority Hindu population. They have played an active role in dismantling of Indian society and Indian democracy. Their bigotry, their ignorance, their arrogance is going to come at a great cost. And they will also pay the price. But so will we. Our children, their children, our children's children.

Today, exercising the provisions of the Constitution of India, more than two-thirds of the AAP MPs in the Rajya Sabha have merged with the BJP.
