Even after being pepper-sprayed, Andy Kim persisted and got inside.
This man is a hero.

Democrats Deliver@DemzDeliver
🚨 Democratic Senator Andy Kim showed up at an ICE detention center to conduct oversight. ICE Agents then pepper sprayed him in the face, unprovoked.

This roadrunner doesn’t just show up — he knocks on the door like he’s coming over for a visit.
When she opens the door, his tail feathers go wild like an excited dog, and he proudly hands over his latest “gift” (this time, a yellow leaf and a twig). Once she takes it, he’s off again to find her something else. It’s become their daily little ritual.
What makes it even sweeter is that she rescued him when he was hurt. He never left after he recovered, and now he brings her gifts every day like a thank you she never asked for.
Have you ever had a wild animal decide you were their person?

It’s chaos in Yosemite National Park
This is the first summer since Yosemite stopped using their reservation system
There have been almost 100,000 more visitors than this time last year
It’s so crowded the lines of cards are hours long and people are parking illegally in the meadows that are supposed to be protected
“The line of cars goes on and on and on, all waiting to get into Yosemite National Park. People were waiting for like at least hour and a half and once you're inside, the waiting isn't over”
By 7.30 am parking can already be at capacity
“The entire park, it was impossible to park. There's nowhere to park for anybody. Waiting to find parking, waiting to get on the shuttle — With many getting impatient and just illegally parking wherever they could. There are people pulling onto meadows, pulling off pavement, going off-road”
“Environmental Resource Center says it was at least better than this. Without any limits the amount of vehicles, amount of people, it becomes overwhelmed. He believes the decision was good for business, not for the environment”
You can’t even take the shuttles they’re so packed, I found:
Shuttles are overwhelmed, trails including Half Dome cables are jammed, and congestion is constant. Park staff and environmental groups say it’s harming sensitive meadows and wildlife habitat
There is no daily cap on vehicles during peak summer hours
Many park employees, over 300 signed a petition, environmental groups, and former staff criticize the decision as prioritizing crowds over visitor experience
Go back to a strict reservation system. There are way too many people

In La Marque, Texas, at a busy Waffle House, 18-year-old waitress Evoni Williams noticed regular customer 78-year-old Adrien Charpentier struggling.
On oxygen and with limited hand use after a hospital stay, he quietly asked her to cut his ham. Without hesitation, Evoni took his plate and carefully cut up his food while the restaurant stayed packed.
A fellow customer, Laura Wolf, snapped a photo of the kind act and posted it online. It quickly went viral. The story touched many, leading to “Evoni Williams Day” in La Marque and a $16,000 scholarship from Texas Southern University.
Evoni stayed humble, saying she’d do it any day. Adrien later smiled about ending up “on the Facebooks” and showed off his suspenders.

Over 150 residents in Red Oak, Texas packed their City Hall meeting, spilling into hallways to protest
Despite this their local officials stayed until after midnight and approved a new massive 830 acre data center campus in the middle of the night
They don’t work for you
The project is will be the 6th data center in the small city of Red Oak. The population is only about 15,000- 20,000 people
The council approved the rezoning despite strong opposition. The project is moving forward
Resident “We don't need another data center. You don't know what the health impact is. You got them all crunched together — You're going to ruin this community”
I found that just these data centers in this small town will use as much power as 300,000 homes
Insane

A three-judge panel in a federal court in Alabama ruled unanimously on Tuesday that state Republicans are still blocked from using their 2023 congressional map, which would have potentially helped Republicans in November. abcnews.visitlink.me/kKpdiH
