@3cCustom @DabneyRL This is an oversimplification. The Southern cause was as much about self-determination as it was about slavery. Lee himself wanted the South to abolish slavery, but he wanted the southern states to do it themselves, not have it imposed by the north.

Shocked, stunned, amazed. It’s almost as if world records don’t mean as much as they used to, and it’s impossible to evaluate performances against the “old” standard. Too many moving parts, too little trust.

Unpopular opinion: the fetish of Americans for big cars is extremely bad for the climate (and cities) and promoting them (even if they are electric) is a BAD idea. Is it too much to ask that the president hypes a more responsible car? Or is that only sensible outside the US?
