I am saddened by the news that Ex-Chief Mzee Gideon Baya Mung’aro has passed on. He is the father to HE Hon. Gideon Maitha Mung’aro, the Governor of Kilifi County. Mzee Mung’aro senior was a visionary man and embodied the spirit of love and unity of the people of the greater Gede community in Kilifi County. As a Kaya elder, he championed for the rights of the native communities at the coast, popularly known as the Mijikenda Community. I recall meeting him on numerous occasions, and he was always jovial and ready to welcome visitors to his home. On behalf of my family, the ODM fraternity and on my own behalf, I wish to extend heartfelt condolences to Governor Mung’aro, the entire Mung’aro family, the people of Kilifi County and the entire coast region for the loss. May God grant you peace and strength during this difficult time of mourning.

I am deeply shocked and saddened by the senseless attack in Magdeburg, Germany, which has tragically claimed five lives and left over 200 injured. Magdeburg holds a special place in my heart; it’s not just a beautiful city, but also the backdrop to my journey as a Mechanical Engineering student. My thoughts and prayers are with all who have lost loved ones in this heartbreaking event. May they find solace in this season of goodwill and compassion. In times like these, it’s clear that our world would be a safer, more harmonious place if we could embrace our differences, foster tolerance for divergent views, and truly learn to coexist in peace with one another. Let us strive for understanding and unity in the face of adversity.

Stop hiring and recycling incompetent failures and graft riddled conmen. The reckless talk about TWO SHARE HOLDERS in a country of 50 million people is political suicide. Mwai Kibaki was elected with 68% of votes but was defeated in a referendum 2 years later. Conman @RailaOdinga is gaining popularity because many of the senior government officials you have appointed are failing to engage Kenyans in a transparent, respectful and accountable manner. Urgently address the issues of high cost of living, corruption and tribalism. We must stop the downward spiral and steady the ship. The time is now.
