Petrol Diesel price has been raised, because oil making companies were making losses due to higher crude oil price.
Right now crude oil is around $100 but when crude oil price were around $60-70 and OMC were making profits due to it, consumer price were not reduced.
On top of that when Ethanol 20 petrol were sold at the same price of 100% pure petrol and companies were making profit, it wasn't passed to consumer either.
Their profit is their profit but their loss is your loss.

I don’t mind paying STT, LTCG, STCG, customs duty, VAT and all other kinds of taxes, no matter how high they get.
I mind paying taxes because only I am paying taxes while others around me live stress-free with no pressure of tax.
The samosa shop in my society pays no tax. The policeman pays no tax on the bribe he collects.
Politicians and bureaucrats steal my tax-money and use it for settling their children in abroad instead of improving the country.
This is why I don’t like paying my taxes. I want everyone to pay the same tax, or nobody to pay any tax. The inequality is what hurts me.

Read the owner's manual of any petrol vehicle in India which is mfd before April 2023 and it'll say the same "Alcohol blended petrol with more than 10% ethanol is detrimental to the health of the vehicle".
But NiGa knows more about the vehicle engine than the company which made it.

Instead of Modi ji asking ordinary people not to buy gold, government should audit officials in the RTO, land revenue, traffic enforcement, 2-3 times MLA etc who have been in service for 10–15 years.
Even a basic raid would uncover black money and hidden gold worth more than the economy of a small country.
