Consider that after the year we’ve had - all the Zoom calls, working from home, online prescriptions and shopping - that we’ve used as a lifeline that *2.6m people* are still offline in the UK. This years’s #ConsumerDigitalIndex shows we have more to do. Let’s get to work

Jess @voicebox "ICT teaching has school has hardly changed in the 3 years since I was there. I was taught Word but I had to teach Excel to myself using YouTube. It was assumed our parents would teach us online safety but I was the one teaching my dad about social media" #ukigf22

While #digitalyouthindex might unearth 26% young people dont have access to a laptop, #ukigf22 panel discussing importance of *meaningful use* (quality, skills, context, purpose) and crucially the *power dynamics of access* - young people face an extra relegation of their views.
