Got a @maticrobots robot vacuum from @mehul via @Karl_William hand delivered I bought a Roborock before and we don't even use it anymore, it keeps getting stuck in cables, can't go on any rug, and is just generally useless, I think it's just the circular low-rise Roomba-like design is fundamentally flawed Matic is interesting cause it actually looks like a vacuum cleaner just with the handle and wand (?) removed so should get a better result We're still traveling so can't test it but I will when we get home! 😊

I recently got a Matic robot vacuum and I’ve been realizing that I haven’t felt this way about a new product since I got my Apple PowerBook G4 in 2005. It felt magical to get a computer that JUST WORKED. So many of my frustrations and issues with Windows were flawlessly and seamlessly solved by my new Mac. Getting a Matic after years of using a Roomba feels exactly the same as getting a Mac after years of using Windows. My Matic JUST WORKS and actually does a great job cleaning EVERY TIME. It feels surreal after years of being used to a very half-ass and flawed experience with Roomba. It actually feels intelligent and my wife loves it and it has meaningfully affected our life at home with a dog who sheds constantly. My son also loves “Boxy” and talks to him as he cleans haha. My mother in law got one too and really loves it even though she is not the most technologically proficient. Way to go, Mehul, and team! You’ve brought back that magical feeling that Apple used to have and you’ve taken on the mantle of making a product that really gives delight to your customers!

My parents @maticrobots cleaned 30,000 sqft in ~15 days during the month of May (the size of 8 x Boeing 747s) Mom hasn’t picked up a vacuum or mop during this entire time period 3 dogs in the house who all shed so going through a bag about every 1-1.5 days But with the annual bag pass ($99/yr), my mom can order bags at will I clearly won Mother’s Day this year ❤️ This is the first robot vacuum I or my parents have ever had. Highly, highly recommend.

- super loud and no modes to change - really clumsy, always goes over my foot - can’t handle corners - vacuum bag really small, need to be replaced every 5 days - can’t go under traditional tables or couches - can’t turn 360 and gets stuck in places - more of a nice to have, but can’t mop It’s good in the sense that: - visually it looks better - the docking station is really small but not worth $1.5k

Hot take: Matic is 5/10 at best Feels more like a toy that can't do much. Sold it and got a Dreame X60 and it's 100x better.
