This guy is a software engineer with 18 years of experience.
Now, working at McDonald's.
One day, his company decided 2 AI guys could do what his team of 12 used to do.
As a result, got laid off.
He sent 100+ applications, but didn't get any jobs.
One HR rep literally told him, "CS degree is useless now".
Now he's flipping burgers while grinding through rejections.
He knows 200 developers in the same boat.
And the executives who made this call?
They are fine, they always are...

I think the gov should promote their national forests a LOT more. It’s all about the beaches and the new museum when it comes to tourism here but has anyone ever hiked or explored this national park that runs through the route of the flowers?
It’s beautiful!
El Salvador can be known for its hiking, CAMPING, mountain biking..
just an idea!

@ritu_twts Only reason I still use Windows is for gaming. Use Mac or Linux for dev stuff.

@ThePrimeagen Do people really have a problem with if err != nil...

Hawley's GUARD Act just passed committee 22-0. Every American would have to upload a government ID or submit to a face scan to use an AI chatbot. Even for asking for algebra help or fixing a billing issue. The framing is child safety but the result is a national ID system for talking to a computer.

@naomibrockwell @cyberxspeed Death penalty for any politician that votes for a bill ruled unconstitutional.
English

@cyberxspeed we don't have to make it easy, and there are repercussions if they do get access to it without a warrant
English

It's insane that the government can just bypass warrant requirements by purchasing access to everything you do.
The Surveillance Accountability Act fixes this.

@w_s_bitcoin No state actor or company is going after 1 BTC wallets with a quantum computer. Especially not a first.
English

Estimated migration time for the majority of the quantum exposed bitcoin (~98% of exposures controlled by pubkeys with a balance ≥ 1 BTC) is now just under 15 days (3 days higher than previous estimates).

Wicked@w_s_bitcoin
Working on making the migration times for my quantum exposure dashboard more accurate by accounting for transaction overhead and output cost, as well as, the added cost of spending multisigs and pubkeys in control of large amounts of UTXOs (that would realistically need to be broken up into multiple transactions when migrating).
