@BovyMaltz One time I visited a Jersey dairy farm and they gave me a quart of raw milk gratis and let's just say if I didn't have vulnerable small children at home I would have been this close to buying into their herd share scheme to secure a regular supply.

@LenaKauffman BP used to have a Spanish teacher, but apparently she left and now "Spanish class" is a long-term sub who shows videos. She doesn't speak Spanish. 😕

Teachers are asking #a2schoolboard to not cut world languages in elementary school and I'm left scratching my head. What elementary schools have world language? If it isn't at every elementary school, I can see why the district may be cutting it.

Pro parenting tip: 1) gather and clean toys your kids haven’t touched in years to resell 2) mistakenly leave toys out and visible to nosy children 3) watch them suddenly play with the old toys 4) be called the worst mom ever for even thinking of getting rid of them!

I am just now finding out that there is a brain worm among liberals involved in ecological restoration work where they have a deranged view of "native" versus "invasive" species and literally have a good/evil thing going on with them, when it's actually more nuanced

@MCMCD_ @simonsarris Then wrap another panel or two around that other wall so it's stable. Sorry, this would work better as a drawing. But basically, you'll need 3-5 fence panels and zip ties.

@MCMCD_ @simonsarris We had a similar situation when mine were little. We managed to rig up a pretty secure system of fencing panels. You can connect one to the balustrade with zip ties and then put a panel with a door in it at the top of the stairs (just make sure it opens in)...

@simonsarris this better shows the layout - standing in the door of his nursery, kitchen/hallway/living room all right there (we are renting so this is a temporary situation but it is going to last long enough for Henry to be running around by the time we move)

As for-profit Ed Tech companies push their products to school districts as a solution to the falling test scores and absenteeism created in large part due to a too rapid switch to online learning, it is time to be cautious and maybe once again look at what Sweden is doing.

I find this framing infuriating. List the schools that don’t get to go to school tomorrow! This is ridiculous happy talk. We’re allowed to be disappointed that not all kids in AAPS can have their first day tomorrow. #a2schoolboard
