Our school rotates every day. You only see kids once 1st period, once after lunch, once at the end of the day etc. athletes don’t always miss one class, kids lateness issues don’t bury them in one class etc

@martinsean Depends. Was the student trending upwards or trending downwards? Was it an 89.0 or an 89.4? Have they exhibited through informal assessment throughout the semester that they know the material? ... Grades are essentially subjective. Those end-of-semester decisions are difficult.

Is an 89 the same score as a 90?

You're never too experienced to have a lab or a demo flop. Today I did the melted chocolate in the non rotating microwave to find the speed of light. All the materials I read and videos I watched made it seem fool proof. It was not. First of all, our cheap thin paper plates 🔥

Today was the first day in 4 years that I had time in the calendar to get to one of my favorite activities: paper plate radians 😀
